Primary Responsibilities:
Leadthe Design development and implementing of data warehouses in acloud based data environment that integrates with an overall dataarchitecture.
Work closely with business stakeholders tointerpret their data needs and translate them into technicalrequirements.
Have a good understanding of datagovernance and develop & implement data governance policiesand procedures.
Ensure data quality and integrity byimplementing data testing and validation processes.
Deploying and debugging cloud data initiatives as needed inaccordance with best practices throughout the developmentlifecycle.
Managing cloud data environments inaccordance with company security guidelines.
Lead thedesign and build of reusable repeatable solutions and componentsfor future use.
Lead and mentor a team of data engineersto implement your solution designs
Stay abreast ofcurrent and emerging trends and technologies in the data and AI/MLfield. Educate delivery teams on the implementation of newcloudbased data analytics initiatives providing associated trainingas required.
Partner with Delivery and Support teams tofind opportunities to reduce manual effort needed to completedeployments.
Consult on Professional ServicesEngagements to help our customers design and implement datawarehouse solutions. Lead and develop best practices for the largerdata analytics delivery team.
Provide clientpresentations to review project design outcomes andrecommendations.
Employ exceptional problemsolvingskills with the ability to see and solve issues before the snowballinto problems.
Lead the orchestration and automationcloudbased data platforms.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Minimum of10years experience in data architecture data modeling and datamanagement.
Strong experience with data warehouse designdevelopment and Maintenance in a cloud environment.
Experienced with cloud based data platforms such as GCP andAWS.
Experience with CI/CD and automated deliverysystems.
Experience architecting designing anddeveloping data platforms on AWS and/or GCP platforms.
Database experience including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL andrelated data stores such as
PostgreSQL ormongoDB.
Proficient in programming languages such asPython SQL Java or C
Strong knowledge of ETL / ELTpipelines data warehousing and data modeling.
Strongproblem solving and analytical skills.
Experience withdata governance and compliance.
Excellent communicationand collaboration skills.
Excellent organizationalskills and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks andmeeting goals within a busy workspace.
Skilled atworking in tandem with a team of engineers or alone as requiredwith the ability to work in a fast paced environment.Desired Skills and Experience
Infrastructureprovisioning (Terraform CloudFormation Cloud Foundry others)
Containers & Orchestration (Docker KubernetesIstio Helm)
Systems Architecture backgroundInfrastructure OS Windows/Linux/others Networking Data StorageBackup DR Solutions etc.
Certification as an AWSsolutions architect cloud security certification and/or GoogleCloud engineer certification a plus. (Other cloudrelatedcertifications are also a plus.)
Experience working inan Agile or SCRUM methodology in a Software Development Lifecycle(SDLC)
Experience in programming languages such as RScala Perl or Shell scripting.
Familiarity with Bi andreporting tools (e.g. Tableau Looker PowerBI).
Experience with Hadoop Spark or EMR.
Education: BachelorDegree or equivalent experience required.
