Sr. Principal Analog Layout Engineer

onsemi is seeking a Senior Principal Analog Layout Engineer for Image Sensors Group to join our growing team in Bengaluru, India. This group is responsible for development of image sensors for industrial, consumer, and automotive applications. In this role, you will focus on the following

Complete analog layout ownership of analog hard macro, including planning and execution across multiple products. Hands-on layout of block-level and top-level schematics for 1D and 2D stacked image sensors. Collaborate with the analog design team for layout reviews and EMIR simulations. Collaborate with the Process Development Kit (PDK) team, as well as the digital and physical integration teams, to enable the seamless integration of the analog hard macro into the chip. Work with the design team manager for resource allocations, and proactively address workflow, resource, and design issues. Work closely with the analog layout team on scheduling tasks, guiding them in the floor planning of blocks, implementation, and reviews. Maintain documentation and checklists for deliverables as per the New Product Development (NPD) flow. Develop methods to improve efficiency in verification processes. Contribute to the overall success of the team by actively participating in design review sessions, providing valuable insights, and maintaining effective communication within the team from a layout perspective

Minimum Requirements

BE in Electrical Engineering or related 15+ years of experience, or MS 13+ years of experience in custom layout for image sensors.

Qualification

Expert-level knowledge in analog mixed-signal layout for image sensors. Expert-level knowledge of image sensor design flow, having handled multiple tape-outs either as an individual contributor or layout lead. Proficiency in scripting languages such as SKILL, Shell/Perl/Python/TCL is highly desired. Expert-level knowledge in chip-level power routing, shielding techniques, and pad placements. Expert-level knowledge in LVS, PERC checks, DRC checks, including density, DFM, antenna, and EM. Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset. Ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
