Technical Lead

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to provide significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design of the concerned tower (platform, database, middleware, backup etc) as well as managing its day-to-day operations Do Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering, 3+ years of experience in customizing & deploying Teamcenter configurations Strong BMIDE configuration skills and expertise with the Teamcenter Data Model Database management Experience with configuring and administration of Active Workspace Good knowledge of Classification, Administration, Security Model and Transfer modes Experience partnering with stakeholders to gather requirements and turn the requirements into technical reality Experience related to any of 3 Siemens DI SW products Additional preference for AWS eC2 knowledge Should have excellent analytical & problem-solving skills Provide support to the project manager in terms of the activity status Experience with overall Digital Factory eco-systems and its integration with Teamcenter, e.g. TcRA, TcIF, ERP, Logistics, ALM, MES etc Strong understanding and experience of working with SDLC development methodology Good communication skills at various levels throughout the organization Good knowledge of data modelling, process flow, use-case development Responsibilities And Tasks: Administration of Teamcenter, including license management, Teamcenter Installation, Configuration, Customization, Deployments, maintenance and update Teamcenter patches. Active Workspace latest versions installation and configuration. Creating Teamcenter environments for the Development, Test and Production from scratch including installing databases. Perform Teamcenter system administrator activities and system issues and at times should also evaluate, devise plans and steps for those issues Drive and ensure best practices in document control process and procedures including revision rules Continuously improve and optimize system architectural elements for enhanced performance and scalability, including maintenance patches. Create documents defining processes and procedures for best Teamcenter practices, installation processes. Act as first point of contact for Teamcenter Outages and P1 incidents Resolve key systemic production issues. Create and execute disaster recovery plans for Teamcenter Environments. Experience in creating batch scripts for different Teamcenter purposes. Serves as an independent individual contributor to technical projects and shows more leaning and participation towards detailed designing of solutions. Applies project management skills to small projects or parts of larger projects Exchanges complex information with colleagues and managers Contribute to any of the initiatives across GDC/PLM Collect, monitor, report, and interpret Operational metrics Identify Operations improvement opportunities. Drive performance improvements and Automation needs for the team Manage Teamcenter Cloud Servers/Developer VMs/Sandboxes to improve User and Developer experience Follow defined Agile practices to perform day to day activities Ability to work in 24x7 shifts if required Provide adequate support in architecture planning, migration & installation for new projects in own tower (platform/dbase/ middleware/ backup) Lead the structural/ architectural design of a platform/ middleware/ database/ back up etc. according to various system requirements to ensure a highly scalable and extensible solution Conduct technology capacity planning by reviewing the current and future requirements Utilize and leverage the new features of all underlying technologies to ensure smooth functioning of the installed databases and applications/ platforms, as applicable Strategize & implement disaster recovery plans and create and implement backup and recovery plans Manage the day-to-day operations of the tower Manage day-to-day operations by troubleshooting any issues, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and developing fixes to avoid similar issues. Plan for and manage upgradations, migration, maintenance, backup, installation and configuration functions for own tower Review the technical performance of own tower and deploy ways to improve efficiency, fine tune performance and reduce performance challenges Develop shift roster for the team to ensure no disruption in the tower Create and update SOPs, Data Responsibility Matrices, operations manuals, daily test plans, data architecture guidance etc. Provide weekly status reports to the client leadership team, internal stakeholders on database activities w.r.t. progress, updates, status, and next steps Leverage technology to develop Service Improvement Plan (SIP) through automation and other initiatives for higher efficiency and effectiveness Team Management Resourcing Forecast talent requirements as per the current and future business needs Hire adequate and right resources for the team Train direct reportees to make right recruitment and selection decisions Talent Management Ensure 100% compliance to Wipro’s standards of adequate onboarding and training for team members to enhance capability & effectiveness Build an internal talent pool of HiPos and ensure their career progression within the organization Promote diversity in leadership positions Performance Management Set goals for direct reportees, conduct timely performance reviews and appraisals, and give constructive feedback to direct reports.
