Invitro DMPK team lead for driving and supporting Amgen’s drug discovery projects by providing scientific oversight, managing, and mentoring people while monitoring group performance
Key Responsibilities:
Plan activities to screen compounds in In-Vitro metabolism, protein binding, transporters, permeability assays to support drug discovery projects Design and execute investigative and mechanistic assays to address the issues and support the discovery programs Plan and monitor the weekly in-vitro studies in accordance with the project requirements and communicate the data to the internal and external stakeholders Diligent data review, preparing presentations, presenting to the client. Ensure team to capture raw data, metadata, and processed data in Logbooks, LNB/eLNs Attention to detail and effective communication and documentation skills is desired. Forecast and maintain the critical inventories to maintain the smooth workflows. Maintain 100% compliance for safety, integrity and QA polices. Adherence to Good Research practices of the organization.Educational Qualification: M. Pharm/PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology or Biological Sciences
Work Experience:
More than 5 years of experience in ADME and Pharmacokinetics post Ph.D. in a pharmaceutical company or drug discovery setup or > 12 years’ experience in ADME and Pharmacokinetics.
Technical / Functional Skills:
Excellent understanding of drug discovery concepts. Sound knowledge in various aspects of DMPK, In vitro ADME, in vivo PK/ADME studies, bioanalytical, metabolite identification, and profiling, etc. Experience with both small and large molecules, biochemical and cellular assays, multiple technological platforms, automation, and high-throughput screeningSkills and competencies:
Strong background in automation, with a track record of working with small molecule drug discovery programs Excellent organizational skills, strong time management and process-oriented thinking Experience with liquid handling platforms is a plus Experience in data management, inventory creation and integration of the hardware with software Teamwork with internal stakeholders- chemists, biologists, and external partners to implement processes and tools that will foster the science Ensure the development of effective environment, health, and safety (EHS) practices for the company and oversee compliance with those practicesEqual Opportunity Employer:
