We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager, ESG and Sustainable Finance Program, Finance Change Delivery. As the senior manager, you will work with the requirement and testing lead to drive the testing strategy and approaches for the Global Finance ESG Programme, and particularly for the Book of Works that are prioritised for 2024 delivery (both tactical and strategic).

What you’ll do:

The global ESG Finance Programme is a multi-year programme within Finance Change Delivery (FCD) to deliver the Global Finance Tactical and Strategic Solution for ESG reporting obligations (and internal monitoring and reporting capability) for the bank. This role will be primarily focusing on testing (including impact analysis) – working with the requirement and test lead to set out the testing strategy and approach, working alongside with the BoW, design and IT leads to ensure that the appropriate testing is planned, agreed, executed and agreed, with relevant sign-off and agreement with the users prior to go-live. The role holder is expected to own the test plan, run-book and activities, in agreement with the other leads – requirement, testing, BoW, design, It and the most important of all, the users. There is also an expectation to ensure that the testing strategy and approach are traceable to the requirements, to meeting the standards as set out by the Integrated Regulatory Reporting programme. It is essential to b familiar with the fundamental to the Global and local finance systems, processes, operating models and controls. Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

Passion and curiosity in ESG; understanding and knowledge of certain ESG disclosures process, and requirements Experience of driving and executing the testing strategy, approach, plan, activities and run-book at scale and pace Familiarise with the HSBC change management framework on testing Strong understanding on the testing cycle and the activities required to meet the requirement and to achieve user-acceptance for go-live Good knowledge of Finance systems architecture and strategy delivery Experience of leading, managing and developing teams Strong project management skills and a demonstratable experience of working on multiple engagements and managing your time effectively A key focus on delivering high quality of work to tight deadlines Strong business awareness, sound reporting skills and the ability to work under your own initiative Proven change management skills Excellent working knowledge of MS related products , PowerPoint, Excel, Ms Visio, and Word Team-working experience in a project environment and a flexible and adaptable working style to work with multiple project managers across multiple geographies Prior knowledge of existing Finance processes, particularly regulatory, financial and ESG reporting is desirable.
