Position

Position : Oracle Applications DBA 

Location : Bangalore, India (Hybrid) 

This position is for EBS Apps DBA who will be part of Riverbed India IT Application Delivery and Services team. The main job function is to maintain and support Oracle E-Business Sute Application. As part of Production support, this role involves monitoring, managing and supporting EBS. Working in flexible timing model, this role will be engaging and working with different teams globally.

What you will do

Support and maintenance of Oracle EBS R12 applications hosted in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Develop and implement replication, archiving and backup and recovery strategies (DR Failover testing capabilities). Troubleshoot and resolve Application servers and Database issues. Plan, enhance and execute database monitoring and OEM alerts. Perform DB Clone, DB Refresh, backup and recovery as and when required. Deploy code and setup changes to Test and Production aligning to Change Management process. Manage Application and Database Servers Security Patch levels and Maintenance Jobs. Monitor, Analyze and resolve support related tickets as per SLA. Monitor performance metrics and suggest relevant fixes. Identify and resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues and other distributed data issues. Create SRs with Oracle and follow-up on the SRs till resolution. Work with multiple teams to provide DBA support as required. Extended Support for quarter-end operations

What makes you an ideal candidate

Minimum of 7-8 years DBA experience with one or more of R12.1, R12.2.4 Strong knowledge on Oracle APPS server Installation, configuration and administration. Experience in ORACLE 12x and 19x databases in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Experience in APPS installations fixes, patch upgrades and version migration. Experience in creation of instances, databases tablespaces and capacity planning. Experience in all Oracle APPs and Oracle utilities RMAN, Backup and High Availability Good knowledge of UNIX platform Ability to proactively identify troubleshoot and resolve live database systems issues Knowledgeable with various flavors of Unix administration, shell/Perl scripting, RAC, AD tools, and configuration of applications in a load balanced environment Hands on experience on handling fusion middleware applications like SOA, Agile Hands on experience with Oracle's Fusion Middleware technology including "Oracle WebLogic Server " SOX process compliance experience Knowledge about Incident and Change management processes Having OCI Certification is preferred. Must be willing to work in different shifts and willing to be on call support when required.
