Team Supervision and Management
  • Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address any performance issues.
  • Train new employees on housekeeping standards, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular briefings and communication meetings to update staff on operational changes.
2. Quality Assurance
  • Perform daily inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hotel standards.
  • Address guest complaints and requests related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
3. Administrative Duties
  • Maintain accurate records of room status, inventory, and maintenance requests.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports on housekeeping activities and team performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Office and Engineering, to ensure smooth operations.
4. Health and Safety
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Provide ongoing training to staff on safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Report and follow up on maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
Qualifications and Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management is a plus.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and housekeeping management software.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
