Laundry Executive

Job Responsibilities

Supervise and direct the daily activities of all laundry staff and are responsible for the efficient and smooth operation of the department. Lay down service standards regarding cleanliness and quality of linen & guest laundry and ensure adherence to these. Efficiently manage the inventory of detergents, chemicals and linen. Monitor and control consumption of power, steam, detergents and other chemicals and devise methods for optimal usage of these. Ensure through regular monitoring of GSTS (Quality of linen & Guest laundry) prompt, efficient and accurate service to all guestrooms & guests. Plan and implement preventive maintenance of the various laundry equipments. Review the monthly income and expenditure report of the laundry and develop an action/work plan. Ensure that all the operational standard procedures/guidelines set for all the laundry and linen processes are followed. Co-ordinate with the Executive Housekeeper on the purchase & quality of room linen. Co-ordinate with the Chief Engineer in the area of maintenance and purchase of various laundry equipment. Address any grievance and counseling issues among the department staff. Keep abreast of new developments in the laundry industry, trends in textiles and chemicals for textile care. Identify key communities, plan various initiatives and co-ordinate the support activities.
