Job Title : Manager, IT - Asia

Main Purpose:

Manage service & support for IT enabling function for Asia region (including India & Middle East). This includes the management of locally based IT resources, outsourced contractors, tools, systems & processes along with project / program management.

Key Tasks:

Manage & mentor IT team members & leaders to become more effective through coaching, feedback, managing expectations, cha1llenges and recognition. Assist Business Units to identify resourcing opportunities to support IT activities and projects. Effectively manage hosted IT activity including outsource and contracts. Manage IT infrastructure and development & deployment of applications per business needs. Liaison with business process owners to identify potential opportunities for automation to achieve operational excellence. Ensure efficient management of software & hardware IT assets. Ensure on-time and on-budget execution of strategic projects. Promote Ametek IT standards relating to activities and products. Assist Ametek Business Units with make vs buy decisions and specification of services, components and systems related to India suppliers and contractors. Create an environment that supports collaboration and enhances performance, engagement, adaptability and flexibility. Responsible for identification, attraction and retention of IT talent. Ensure that IT employees at all levels possess the knowledge, skills & attributes to be successful. Implement project management disciplines and communication / reporting processes to ensure integration with BU activity and that performance expectations have been met. Ensure compliance with Ametek policies, procedures, rules and laws. Create & implement annual plan & budget. Publish IT KPIs & reports to the stakeholders at defined intervals of time.

Key Attributes:

Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in IT with more than 5 years at manager level. Should have people management experience (permanent employees and contract engineers). Experience in handling complex, decentralized and centralized business environment. Bachelors degree in related technical field (i.e. Engineering or Computer Science). Masters degree in business or an IT discipline desirable. Experience with tools such as UiPath, Navision, SharePoint, iValua, would be preferred. Experience with manufacturing companies and related supply chain. Ability to work in complex, highly matrixed environment, with remote Corporate IT policy guidance and direction. Must be fluent English with good written and oral communication ability – confident presenter. Requirement to attend meetings, conferences, site visits and inspections in India and globally. Work to flexible time schedule including hours of work.
