POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Category Sourcing Associate (CSA) – Indirect and Capital Purchases (PA) will be responsible for managing the procurement process for indirect goods and capital expenditures. This role ensures efficient purchasing operations, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company policies. The Procurement Associate will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to meet procurement objectives and support the organization’s strategic goals. Additionally, the CSA will collaborate with project coordinators to support the expense management of key projects across the portfolio, ensuring that operational objectives are met with excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Indirect Procurement: Manage procurement activities for indirect goods & services viz., office supplies, IT equipment and professional services etc. and Maintenance, Repair and Operation (MRO) purchases (goods & services). Capital Purchases: Responsible for the procurement of capital goods, including machinery, equipment, and other large-scale purchases, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints and project timelines. Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable outcomes for the organization. Procure-to-Pay Process: Execute the end-to-end procure-to-pay process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of purchase orders, invoices, and payments. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation. Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including Finance, Operations, and Project Management, to support procurement needs and align with organizational goals. Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, supplier developments, and emerging technologies to inform procurement strategies and decisions. Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze procurement reports to monitor performance, identify issues, and support decision-making processes. Documentation and Consistency: Develop and maintain training documents. Serve as a point of contact for contractor Procurement Associates, ensuring consistent processes. Purchasing Method Determination: Decide on appropriate purchasing methods (PO, PCard, Non-PO Invoice, One-Time Payment, Down Payment) in line with Zoetis purchasing and accounting policies. Ensure correct account coding for each purchase. Purchase Order Processing: Oversee the creation and management of Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate policies and compliances.REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduation in Science or Engineering or Pharmaceutical with a management degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect and capital purchases. Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (SAP preferred). Advanced skills in MS Excel. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in cost analysis and financial evaluation. Negotiation Skills: Proven experience in negotiating contracts and supplier agreements to achieve optimal terms and conditions. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of procurement activities. Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of procurement regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices. Documentation Practices: Expertise in procurement documentation, including supplier due diligence, business cases, and justification notes. Procurement Processes: Familiarity with procurement processes such as RFI, RFQ, RFP, bidding, and commercial negotiation. Matrix Environment Experience: Experience working in a matrix organizational structure with indirect reporting lines. Process Development: Ability to develop and improve business processes and methodologies.OTHER ATTRIBUTES DESIRABLE
