Designation: Associate Scientist (8-I) 
Job Location: Bangalore
Department: Invitro Pharmacology - Cardiovascular, LDO

Job Purpose (1-2 Lines): The candidate will be expected to design, develop and perform in vitro biochemical & cell-based assays, generate high quality data, interpret, document and communicate data to stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities: 
a. In vitro assays (biochemical & cell based) - design and development, compound screening
b. Analysis and interpretation of experimental data
c. Presentation and communication of data to stakeholders
d. Following Syngene’s data quality, integrity and EHSS guidelines

Educational Qualification: Masters in pharmacology/ life sciences/ biotechnology/ biological engineering

Technical/functional Skills: 
a. Mammalian cell culture 
b. In vitro biology/pharmacology, enzymology, neuroscience, automation
c. Assay design and development
d. Plate based assays, immunofluorescence/ high content imaging
e. Experience in handling primary or iPS-derived cells (neurons, cardiomyocytes, fibroblasts, PBMCs, macrophages) 

Experience: 4-8 years of relevant work experience

Behavioral Skills: ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team; good verbal and written communication, presentation skills
