Job Description
Job Overview: As a Design Engineer with AutoCAD expertise, you will be responsible for developing detailed engineering designs, layouts, and drawings for pump systems and related components. You will work closely with project engineers, manufacturing teams, and clients to ensure designs meet technical specifications, performance criteria, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Drafting:

    • Create detailed 2D and 3D models, layouts, and technical drawings of pump components and systems using AutoCAD.
    • Develop mechanical designs for pumps, including impellers, volutes, seals, bearings, and casings.
    • Revise existing designs and drawings as needed for upgrades or custom solutions.
    • Ensure designs comply with industry standards (ISO, ASME, API, etc.) and customer requirements.

  2. Product Development:

    • Collaborate with R&D teams to develop new products and optimize current designs for manufacturing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
    • Perform design calculations and simulations to ensure optimal pump performance, including flow rates, pressure, and energy efficiency.

  3. Technical Support:

    • Provide technical support to production, procurement, and quality assurance teams regarding design intent and manufacturability.
    • Assist in troubleshooting design-related issues during fabrication and testing phases.

  4. Project Coordination:

    • Work with cross-functional teams including sales, project management, and field engineers to deliver customized pump solutions on time.
    • Coordinate design changes based on client feedback and project specifications.

  5. Documentation:

    • Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and technical reports.
    • Maintain project files and update drawing archives as necessary.


RequirementsQualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) is mandatory.
  • Experience with other CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) is a plus.
  • Experience in the pump or rotating equipment industry is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and pump design principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
