The Strategy and Technology Group (STG) is a new initiative within Aon to deliver innovative consulting and technologysolutions to its clients. This is a great opportunity to join a growing group and to work with a highly skilled, collaborative team of actuarial and software experts who are using the latest technology to deliver next generation products forinsurance markets.


GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:


Senior Python Developer to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’sresponsible for the full software development life cycle in a deliver and project capacity, from conception to deployment.


As a Senior Python Developer, you should be comfortable interacting with databases, APIs, and be familiar with development frameworks and third-party libraries


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Working on developing our project implementations by writing code, testing, analysing, specifying, reviewing and all other activities that form part of the software development lifecycle.
• Working with other Developers, QAs, Bas, Actuaries and corresponding leads to ensure successful delivery of high-quality software
• Supporting and mentoring other team members
• Contributing to process and quality improvement discussions
• Providing technical support to internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting and potentially leading product deployments
• Engaging in ongoing professional development
• 6+ years of experience in all aspects of Senior Python engineering position
• Agile Development
• Strong Analytical skills
• Critical thinking
• Proactive mindset
• Excellent communication skills
• Senior level Python Skills
• SQL, ideally Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures)
• SOLID Principles
• Git with GitFlow
• Secure coding practices
• CI /CD Octopus and Azure Dev Ops Prefered
Good to have:
• Azure Cloud development
• Testing – Integration, End To End, Performance
• .NET Skills
• API development and testing
