RolesandResponsibilities

Asa Senior Software Engineer you willbe:
  • Responsiblefor the analysis design development and delivery of softwaresolutions
  • Definesrequirements for new applications and customizations adhering tostandards processes and bestpractices

Responsibilities
Participate in team prioritization discussions withProduct/Business stakeholders
Estimate and own deliverytasks (design dev test deployment configuration documentation) tomeet the business requirements
Automate build operateand run aspects of software
Drive code/design/processtradeoff discussions within their team when required
Report status and manage risks
Drive integration ofservices focusing on customer journey and experience
Perform demos/acceptance discussions in interacting with Productowners
Understands operational and engineeringexperience and actively works to improve experience and metrics inthe ownership area
Develop a complete understanding ofendtoend technical architecture and dependency systems
Drive adoption of technology standards and opinionated frameworksand review coding test and automation work of teammembers
Mentor and guide new and lessexperienced teammembers
Identify opportunities to improve an overallprocess and trim waste
Share and seek knowledge withintheir Guild/Program to drive reuse andproductivity

Requirements

Has ability to write secure code in Java (11 or higher) andfamiliar with secure coding standards (e.g. OWASP CWE SEI CERT) andvulnerabilitymanagement
Efficient in Java Spring SpringBoot JPA Angular SQLMicroservice
Understands the basic engineering principles used in building andrunning mission critical software capabilities (security customerexperience testing operability simplification serviceorientedarchitecture)
Able to perform debugging and troubleshooting to analyze core heapthread dumps and remove codingerrors
Understands and implements standard branching (e.g. Gitflow) andpeer reviewpractices
Has skills in test driven and behavior driven development (TDD andBDD) to build just enough code and collaborate on the desiredfunctionality
Understands use cases for advanced design patterns (e.g.servicetoworker MVC API gateway intercepting filter dependencyinjection lazy loading all from the gang of four) to implementefficientcode
Understands and implements Application Programming Interface (API)standards and cataloging to drive API/service adoption andcommercialization
Apply tools (e.g. Sonar) and techniques to scan and measure codequality
Has skills to collaborate with team and business stakeholders toestimate requirements (e.g. story pointing) and prioritize based onbusinessvalue
Has skills to orchestrate release workflows and pipelines and applystandardized pipelines via APIs to achieve CI and CD using industrystandard tools (e.g.Jenkins).
Has skills to document and drive definitionofdone for requirementsto meet both business and operationalneeds
Understands how to build robust tests to minimize defect leakage byperforming regression performance deployment verification andreleasetesting
