We are searching for an IT Purchasing Specialist to join our team. 

You will use your IT purchasing and licensing expertise to work in a small, new team that will be responsible for IT purchasing, software licensing and internal self-audits within Lionbridge. As this is a new team we are building in Lionbridge, you will participate in building up the practice, processes and tools being used to make the team successful.

Exp: 3-4 years hands-on experience of managing IT purchasing and licensing
 

 What you will do:

  • Do IT purchase and Software Asset Management for all of Lionbridge.
  • Works closely with HelpDesk, Operations, Vendor and Procurement to ensure appropriate software licenses are available prior to deployment.
  • Prepare, advise and support renewals and negotiations with vendors across all areas of spend.  
  • Review opportunities to streamline purchasing and the management of global products and services and implement recommendations as appropriate.
  • Responsible for Software Asset Management license maintenance activities, including:
    • Creating new software licenses in accordance with vendor specifications in the Software Asset Management tool
    • Processing new software purchases and applying to the appropriate software license as approved
    • Monitoring and identifying compliance risks of software licenses
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings, working with the Software Asset Manager to address efficiency, renewal and commercial issues.
    • Coordinating software and license reclamation activities

 

  • Responsible for maintaining the Definitive Software Library (DSL), including:
    • Downloading software media and moving to the DSL
    • Distributing software media to the appropriate resources
    • Responsible for receiving and managing software license keys

 

  • Maintain knowledge of key Vendor licensing models, working with Vendor Management to understand the clients specific commercial relationships.
  • Responsible for the following activities related to the maintenance of the Software and license Repository:
    • Work with the packaging teams to ensure deployment methods and media are correctly operating in line with license restrictions
    • Ensuring software models are linked to the appropriate contracts
    • Ensuring license keys are linked to the appropriate software models
  • Answers software license related questions pertaining to number of installs, purchases and provide licensing knowledge and advisory services to stakeholders to maximise the value of Software Asset Management.
  • Working with operational teams to ensure that all ‘in-scope’ devices are reporting into the ITAM database and Retirements are also processed in a timely manner.
  • Providing regular recharge data to the Billing/Invoice team for onward processing
  • Develop and run bi-yearly internal audits of the Lionbridge IT infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the IT Purchasing group.

 

To be successful you will have:

 

Have prior experience for 3-4 years in SAM domain and IT Purchasing.

Have knowledge on Vendor Management and Negotiation.

Have proper knowledge on ITAM workflow (Software).  

Have previous experience in working with SAM tools.

Knowledge on discovery mechanism.

Have worked on Microsoft/Adobe/Oracle/SAP/IBM Licenses.

Should have prior experience on data center software licensing.

Understanding the life cycle of a software license.

Good to have ITAM Module Knowledge.

Hands on experience on SAM tool - ServiceNow/SNOW/Flexera

Compliance and Consumption reporting knowledge.

ITAM tool implementation.

Excellent communication skills.  

Good excel skills.
