Position: Sr. Database Administrator(DBA)Experience: 7 8 Years ofexperienceEducation: B. Tech / MCA/ M. TechJobLocation : Jodhpur Rajasthan(onsite)KeyResponsibilities:
  • Responsiblefor documentation testing and debugging of small to large DBmanagement.
  • Performance Tuning QueryOptimization and using SQL Profiler and other related monitoringand troubleshooting tools
  • Scheduling backupsand restoring from backups
  • SQL administrationand troubleshoot SQL code and design (stored procedures functionstables views triggers indexes andconstraints)
  • Create technical designrecommendations for developing and integrating programs per writtenspecifications.
  • Troubleshoot and solve issueswith production systems.
  • Analyze create andimplement database schemas and queries.
  • Abilityto write efficient complex queries against very large data setsmodel analyze and manage large volumes ofdata.
  • Documentation skills for SQL processesand procedures
  • Ensure performance security andavailability of databases.
  • Handle commondatabase procedures such as upgrade backup recovery migrationetc.
  • Profile server resource usage and optimizeand tweak as necessary
  • Perform monitoring toensure data reliability of all enterprisedatabases.
  • Perform system upgrades as requiredfor smooth operations of the databases.
  • Modifyand maintain existing applications based on the needs of thebusiness
  • Ensure that the database is properlyindexed and optimized for maximumperformance
  • Collaborate with applicationdevelopers to understand database requirements and design optimalsolutions
Requirements:
  • Atleast 5 years of relevant experience in MSSQL administration withexperience in designing and maintaining complex MSSQLdatabases
  • Must have experience as a DBA andpostgre and MySQL
  • Handle common databaseprocedures such as upgrade backup recovery migrationetc.
  • Advanced knowledge of TSQL programming andoptimization techniques
  • Strong knowledge ofMSSQL Server Management Studio SQL Profiler and otherdatabaserelated tools
  • Experience with databasedesign patterns normalization and indexingstrategies
  • Ability to analyse and troubleshootcomplex database issues
  • Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills
  • Ability to workindependently as well as in a teamenvironment
  • Strong problemsolving andanalyticalskills
Soft Skills: Team work andcollaboration with internal / externalteams Effectivecommunication skills (listening expressingwriting) Need aperson who is a very good team player good at analyzingproblemsolving Debugging skills and TechnicalSupport. Criticalthinking attention to detail (keen eye for identifying andresolving defects)Creativity and problemsolving.Collaborate within and crossteams.Participateeffectively on other development activities like code reviewsautomation unit testingetc.
