Lead Data Steward Partner – Data & Model Governance (D&MG) Team

This is a key role, reporting to the Director, Data Stewardship, and working out of one of our global offices in Bangalore
The Lead Data Steward Partner will collaborate with the Data Policy and Data & Model Governance & Assurance teams to create, implement and monitor the data policies and standards and data ethics framework that will underpin all Thomson Reuters business operations. Your team will act as educators and internal consultants as we continually improve our data governance and data quality processes across the enterprise.
About the Role:
In this opportunity as Lead Data Steward Partner, you will:
Lead a team of Data Steward Partners, to develop and co-ordinate the Thomson Reuters data stewardship program within agreed data domains Develop a collaborative Data Stewards Network, comprising data creators, data users and data managers from across the domain Work with the Data Governance and Data Policy & Ethics teams, the Data Stewards Network (and other stakeholders, as appropriate) to define and implement effective data policies, standards, controls and metrics within the domain Lead your team to provide data governance consultancy and education on critical data projects within the domain, to ensure that end-to-end data flows are governed effectively Promote data accuracy and adherence to Thomson Reuters defined global governance practices Drive acceptance of Thomson Reuters's enterprise data standards and policies across the various business segmentsAbout You:
You’re a fit for the role of Lead Data Steward Partner if you meet all or most of these criteria:
10+ year experience in Digital, Data, Analysis and/or Technology Significant experience in managing data quality standards, with experience of customer and contact data preferred Practical experience working within a data ethics/governance framework Process analysis skills and experience, with ability to translate business issues and requirements into actionable plans A good understanding of risk management and controls Strong team leadership and coaching skills Proficient in applying collaborative problem-solving, negotiation and change activist skills Thorough understanding of data and systems infrastructures Technical skills in exploring, analyzing, profiling, manipulating data sets (e.g. SQL, Python, Alteryx…)
