We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our dynamic team. As a Tax Associate, you will play a key role in assisting with tax compliance, planning, and research activities for our clients. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with senior tax professionals to develop tax strategies and planning opportunities for clients.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and address tax-related inquiries.
- Prepare tax projections and estimates to assist clients in managing their tax liabilities.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide accurate and timely tax advice.
- Assist in responding to tax notices and audits from taxing authorities.
- Provide support during tax planning meetings and client presentations.
- Maintain organized and accurate documentation of tax-related activities and workpapers.
- Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance tax knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus).
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow in the tax profession.
