Inviting applications for the role of Consultant- QA UFT

As a Consultant for UFT, you will play a key role in implementing and supporting UFT solutions for our clients. You will work closely with project teams to understand client requirements, design test automation frameworks, and execute test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with project teams to gather and analyze client requirements, understanding the scope and objectives of UFT projects.

Design and develop test automation frameworks using UFT, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and reusability of test scripts.

Write and execute UFT test scripts to automate functional and regression testing of software applications.

Execute UFT test scripts, analyze test results, and report defects to project teams, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Work closely with developers, business analysts, and quality assurance teams to coordinate testing activities and ensure alignment with project goals.

Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports, to ensure comprehensive test coverage and traceability.

Provide training and support to project teams and stakeholders on UFT tools and best practices, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization of test automation efforts, contributing to the enhancement of our testing capabilities.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

years of experience in software testing with a focus on UFT (Unified Functional Testing).

Solid understanding of test automation principles and methodologies, with hands-on experience in designing and executing automated test scripts using UFT.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as VBScript for test automation.

Experience with Agile methodologies and knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes is a plus.

Certifications in UFT or software testing (e.g., ISTQB certification) are advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and propose effective solutions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
