Inviting applications for the role of Project Manager-Supply Chain Planning – Global Planner
Job Description:
The Global Planner is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the production and distribution of products across multiple global locations. They collaborate with various stakeholders, including production teams, supply chain teams, and logistics teams, to develop and implement effective planning strategies.
Responsibilities
• Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing long-term and short-term strategic plans to achieve global business objectives. This involves analyzing market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
• Resource Allocation: Allocating company resources, such as manpower, technology, and finances, across different regions and departments to ensure efficient and effective operations. This includes identifying resource gaps and recommending solutions to optimize resource utilization.
• Demand Forecasting: Analyzing market demand and trends to forecast global demand for products or services. This involves collaborating with sales, marketing, and production teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and align production capacities accordingly.
• Supply Chain Management: Collaborating with supply chain teams to ensure smooth and efficient flow of products or services across global markets. This includes coordinating with suppliers, distributors, and logistics partners to optimize supply chain operations and minimize costs.
• Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with global operations, such as geopolitical uncertainties, currency fluctuations, and regulatory compliance. This involves developing risk mitigation strategies and ensuring business continuity in the face of potential disruptions.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of global operations and identify areas for improvement. This includes conducting regular performance reviews, analyzing data, and making recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations, to align global strategies and goals. This involves effective communication and coordination to ensure a unified approach towards global business objectives.
• Market Research: Conducting market research to identify new market opportunities, emerging trends, and customer preferences. This includes analyzing competitor strategies, customer feedback, and market dynamics to drive innovation and stay ahead of the competition.
• Compliance and Regulations: Staying updated with global regulations and compliance requirements to ensure business operations are conducted in accordance with legal and ethical standards. This includes liaising with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to global regulations.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluating and improving global planning processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This includes staying updated with industry best practices and implementing innovative approaches to optimize global operations.
Specific Tasks
• Maintaining PSI (Production Sales Inventory) Group Mapping, PBOM (Product Bill of Materials) Structure, overall (de-)activation in DMS and Master Data Mgmt.
• Liaison with Commercial/Finance/Marketing within the Segment to understand Portfolio Strategy (New Part Introduction, Pull In Push Out, Last Time Buy)
• Leveraging Stat Forecast (Global Level) both for CQ(Current Quarter)-CQ+1 and Long Range Planning Horizons
• Understands (global) supply constraints across multiple nodes including Affiliate, ISS, PFS and Accessories and how these translate back to the consensus plan, allocations and financial reconciliation / risk-2-revenue
• Define the Long Range Plan 1x/Q based on market- and thick date insights (CAGR, Long Range Strategic Plan, Market Share Assumptions, Healthcare Industry Growth etc)
• Contribute to Big Deals Review (orchestrated by IBP COE), providing meaningful feedback from a supportability perspective towards Regions
• Prepare and contribute to Global Op-Mechs / reviews which are not part of the official IBP Cycle
• Loading the Global PSI into Demantra according to IBP Calendar
• Lead monthly Demand Reviews with Region Planners / Regional IBP Leaders after the Region Demand Lock
• Own- and drive Demand / Supply Alignment with Mfg Sites for Systems and impact to plan / regions. Defines action plans to mitigate gaps
• Owns, prepares and conducts Segment Exec IBP Reviews post-Supply Lock
• Review Segment Forecast Accuracy and Segment Forecast Bias on a Quarterly Basis
• Understand the root causes of error (through Lean methodologies including e.g. 5Why’s, Fishbone, DMAIC) and define structural countermeasures- and associated activities / projects to minimize error which can be owned by Global
• Prepare for Quarterly Segment Forecast Accuracy- and Segment Forecast Bias Reviews (orchestrated by IBP COE CQ - CQ+1)
• Leverage FA/Bias Predictor Capability (for MTO modalities) to predictively understand (rough-cut) Segment Forecast Accuracy / Segment Forecast Bias for CQ
• Next Gen Planning:
o Unconstrained Data Collection
o Current State Mapping (down to L2 level) –and Validation
o Future State Mapping with Consulting Group & Kinaxis
o Fit-Gap Analysis
o Testing/UAT
o Training, Deployment, Adoption
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
• Good years of relevant experience
• University Graduate
• Relevant Experience
Preferred qualifications
• Strong Communication Skills
• Strong Supply Chain Knowledge (esp. Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management)
• Strong cross-disciplinary knowledge ranging from marketing / product management to FP&A, Manufacturing
• Strong stakeholder engagement- and influencing skills
• Strong analytical and insights-driven way of working
• Mastery in Supply Chain systems (Demantra, GL Prod, ECC, APO, PowerBI, Tableau, etc..)
• Stakeholder engagement and influence
Organization skills and project management
• Demonstrated proficiency in forecasting skills/methods
• High degree of familiarity with Statistics
• Relationship building with cross-disciplinary functions up to
senior leadership level
• APICS (CPIM/CSCP) certification preferred
• Ability to cross-learn and cross-pollinate with other Modalities/Segments and look at the bigger picture
