About the department

The Finance GBS department is responsible for the financial and accounting operations of Novo Nordisk. As part of the Procurement GBS unit, our team in Bangalore manages end-user support for our Global Procurement systems and other business intelligence activities. We work collaboratively to drive efficiency, process improvements, and automation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The Position

As a Senior Associate -I, you will be primarily responsible for:

Handling accounts Payable tasks including Invoice Processing, Review & Controls, Month end close, discrepancy management, follow ups, fall out clearing, reporting as well as support to affiliates in Europe. Identity compliance issues & drive for remediation. Identify areas for improvement and implement the same in Finance Processes. Meet all the defined KPIs and individual targets defined at process level and individual level. The overall goal is to fulfill targets set up by the Team Leader /Associate Manager and GBS Finance Management jointly.

Qualifications

Bachelor of commerce or equivalent Qualification. Good academic track records and grades. 5-6 years of experience within an accounting/economy function from a larger organisation. Experience working with SAP ERP system both FI/CO and SD, S4 Hana, SAP T Codes, Coupa. Candidates with experience working in Accounts Payable in a global company. Good knowledge to accounting documentation and transaction link, Sarbox approach and audit material. Strong communication skills (oral & written). Strong Accounting and AP Knowledge. Proficient Computer skills (MS Office). ERP (SAP) System knowledge. Social-Team work: Being helpful, respectful, approachable and team oriented.
