JobPurpose

The primary purpose ofthis role is to critically review credit proposals to identify andevaluate risks related to industry business financials managementand facility structure. This role focuses on highlightingcollateral and other risk mitigation strategies to aid theapproving authority in decisionmaking. The role is crucial forensuring quick turnaround on credit lending proposals for theSME/SEG business including Term Loans Working Capital Finance LeaseRent Discounting and Construction Finance. Additionally the roleinvolves ongoing credit exposure review to ensure continuedbankability effective client and collateral monitoring andadherence to legal and documentation standards.

KeyResponsibilities

Credit Analysis: Assess andconduct detailed credit analysis of lending proposals. Scrutinizeproposals by analyzing client creditworthiness business strengthmarket credibility financial statements and adherence to internalcredit norms.

ProposalPreparation: Prepare Credit Appraisal Memos interactwith legal and technical agencies to mitigate property risks andensure the submission of welldocumented proposals to the RegionalCredit Manager.

PortfolioMonitoring: Monitor portfolio performance trackoverdue accounts review ratings changes and ensure compliance withsanction conditions. Maintain strong local industry networks forindependent references.

Compliance: Ensure compliancewith credit policies contribute to the revision of credit norms andsupport the development of new credit policies.

Documentation: Maintain arobust documentation process for effective tracking and TATmonitoring.

MISReporting: Prepare MIS and trend charts on portfolioprogress and send regular updates to team leaders andstakeholders.

ProcessManagement: Ensure adherence to SOPs manage thedistributor network improve the credit approval process and providetraining to the local credit process team.

Vendor Management: Recommendand manage vendors ensure timely delivery from valuation legal andfield investigation agencies and provide regular training andperformance reviews.

Vendor Management: Manage andmonitor vendor performance to ensure timely and accurate servicedelivery.

Job Context &Challenges

The role requires theability to navigate the complex credit environment for SME lendingwhich involves high competition and a diverse range of financialproducts. The key challenge is to maintain a balance between quickturnaround times and thorough risk evaluation to ensure sustainablegrowth while minimizing nonperforming assets (NPAs).
