Position Summary

Senior Solutions Delivery Expert – Integration Technologies is responsible for architecting, designing, developing, testing, deploying and supporting various integrations primarily with SAP as well as in non-SAP packaged applications using SAP-ABAP, PO, CPI-PI and other integration technology platforms. The role will deliver business value through various projects, application maintenance activities, continuous improvements, and innovations. Individual will solve problems requiring constant adaption and new solutions by synthesis and innovative thinking. As experienced qualified technology expert, individual will be part of a Global Team and will work with SAP Functional team, Business Solutions Owners team to deliver and continuously improve the high standards of application developments services for our global business stakeholders. The individual will have strong experience in developing integrations.

Job Objective

Senior Solutions Delivery Expert – Integrations Technologies is individual contributor role responsible for architecture, design, delivery and supporting various integrations across all functions and various SAP and other technologies. Individual will work with business and functional teams to translate requirements in appropriate solution, define and design technical architecture, breakdown the technical work package, estimate and develop plan for its delivery, develop, conduct appropriate quality reviews, test and document the solution as well as troubleshoot support incidents when needed. Individual will demonstrate technology thought leadership on various integration platform and integration development space by leading efforts towards technology roadmap for integration area, bringing best in class development standards and practices by creating scalable, reusable, maintainable, secured integration solutions. As a senior person in team, individual will guide and mentor junior team members on end-to-end development process, functional knowledge and best practices.

Job responsibilities

• Delivery of Integrations developments for integrations in SAP and non-SAP areas which includes but not limited to: SAP PO, CPI-PI and overall BTP platform; Integrations of SAP with other SAP cloud products like Concur, Ariba as well as other packaged applications like Workday etc.; Developing integration solution for cloud and on-prem hosted IT applications including SaaS applications, Microsoft Sharepoint and Web applications etc.; Complete ownership in coordinating and developing integrations with 3rd parties using EDI and IDOC solutions; Integrations with banks, local governments, and brokers for data exchanges out of ECC/S4 applications
• Deliver Integration solutions by driving technical requirement gathering, defining solution architecture, estimation and planning, implementation approach recommendations, blueprinting, detail designing, development, solution demos, comprehensive code reviews, various types of testing, defect resolutions, various technical documentations etc. working with functional teams and project managers for different types, sizes and complexities of projects, enhancements, changes, and incidents.
• Troubleshoot incidents by analysis, debugging, SAP research, modifications and implementation of appropriate solutions in timely manner to avoid adverse business impact.
• Commit and Deliver business value through various types of projects e.g. Upgrades, Cloud Migrations, S4 HANA Template Design and Deployments, roll-outs of new capabilities, Enhancements to existing functionalities etc. and maintenance troubleshooting with the team.
• Practice, evolve and maintain best in class Integration Development Standards, naming conventions and delivery practices across projects and application maintenance related development work and ensure strong compliance using various code review techniques.
• Demonstrate technology thought leadership and experimental mindset by learning what is new in overall integration technology space, building reusable technical assets, applying clean core approaches and technical utilities to solve business problems and reduce cost, efforts for projects and ongoing maintenance activities while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Drive Operational Excellence by taking initiatives for technical process delivery improvements, team development activities, contributing to recruitment process tasks, knowledge sharing etc.
• Drive problem management and continuous improvement working with internal teams and partners to ensure best in class processes, higher degree of automation in process of solution delivery (incl. CI/CD), strong knowledge management (e.g. knowledge sharing, KEDB, end user manuals etc.), better user experience, system performance and utilization.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

• Good understanding of SAP standard functional processes and strong experience of various integration development use cases for SAP modules like PP, PP-PI, IBP, SD, LE, MM, WM, EWM, FI, CO for manufacturing industry and B2B company.
• 15+ years of experienced as holistic Integration development expert in designing and developing integration solution in SAP S4, SAP NetWeaver ABAP and Java Stack environments.
• Well round experience and strong in-depth knowledge of integration topic is expected with
• Experience in SAP interfaces/dialog programming, should have prior ABAP experience (core SAP WRICEF objects), RFC's, BADIs, BAPIs, Web services etc.
• Experience in EDI, IDOC, SOAP (ABAP Proxies), OData APIs using ALE configurations, SOAMANAGER and Gateway component.
• Experience in BTP and CPI-PI platform, SAP API business hub enterprise
• Interface programming experience in languages like Java, J2EE, HTML, CSS and Python.
• Hands on knowledge key integration protocols e.g. REST and others.
• Knowledge of various integration configuring AS2, HTTPS, SFTP leveraging various authentication methods.
• Experience of interface development involving XML and JSON conversions, value mapping, content modifiers, request reply etc.
• Integrations involving file exchanges, creation, mapping, migrations, conversions etc.
• Integration of SAP leveraging other non-SAP middleware-integration-automation platforms like Boomi, Mulesoft, Informatica, Software AG etc.
• Experience in API governance, framework and strategy for building strong integration hub for the enterprise, which is modern, scalable and sustainable. Good understanding of challenges and best practices for API development and governance.
• Advises project team during system development to assure compliance with architectural principles, guidelines and standards, security standards from integrations solutions perspective
• Integration monitoring
• Desired experience in Core Data Services (CDS) views, ODATA services and Fiori applications
• Experienced in Development, configuration, and app integration for custom Fiori App.
• Hands-on experience in executing large End-to-End Implementations, SAP S4 deployment, Integration platform transformations e.g. SAP PI to SAP PO, consolidation of various SAP middleware instances, migration from SAP PO to SAP BTP/CPI-PI.
• Experience with business requirements gathering process, technical analysis, solution/design, coding, testing, documentation, and implementation of customizations within the SAP environment.
• Strong experience in technical troubleshooting and debugging skills. Experienced in working with various product teams to create tickets, research material/notes, review release notes, and solution roadmaps as well as provide guidance to customers on release strategy.
• Experience in SAP AIF and other interface monitoring solutions e.g. solution manager based integration monitoring etc. Problem management based on RCA and monitoring based outcomes.
• Experience in managing vendors and driving collaboration with external 3rd parties to deliver multi-party impacted integration solutions keeping GGH objectives as driver.
• Ability to articulate and resolve timelines for various implementation and cutover activities, serving as technical point and SME for any integration solutions.
• Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay on top of current trends and technical advancements as well as successfully experiment and realize them for organizations.
• Experience of: Leading development and integration team for implementation of technical solutions. Hiring a world class, diverse technical team, prioritizing the work.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge effectively. Ability to build credible relationships with peers and clients, and continuous professional learning of SAP products.
• Experienced on delivering work using Agile, waterfall methodologies. Has good knowledge of how to operate in Agile, Scrum, SAFe setups.
• Highly proactive, self-organized, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with good written/verbal communications in English.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a global team focusing on GGH business objectives with strong collaboration spirit.
• SAP development, ITIL, TOGAF, Six Sigma, PMP, SAFe certifications desired but not mandatory

Work Timing & Location

• Office – Pune, India. Current Flexible office presence policy – 4 days/week
• Typical Working Hours – 12 noon to 9:30 pm IST. Operational on call availability subject to incidents/priorities
• Travel – subject to key projects, usually less than 2 weeks
