The opportunity

The Manager of Ops Excellence in IT Operations is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing operational processes, and ensuring the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness within the IT Operations department. Lead initiatives to integrate digital technologies into all areas of the business, fundamentally changing how the IT Operations department operates and delivers value to customers. This role requires a strategic thinker who can Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and provide comprehensive reporting on operational performance and improvement initiatives. Candidate should have strong background in IT operations, process improvement methodologies, and leadership skills. Person should be well verse to Optimize value streams and workflows through automation. The successful candidate will have a good mix of deep technical knowledge, understanding of industry best practice, frameworks and regulations, and a demonstrated background in IT Operations, Service management and Continuous improvement.

How you’ll spend your day

Understand Business Processes Analyse data trends and share recommendations with stakeholders.
Facilitate Brainstorming Sessions Lead structured problem-solving sessions to identify improvement areas, support in measuring improvements, and quantify savings.
Enhance Operational Efficiency Develop and implement strategies to boost operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Eliminate Bottlenecks Identify and remove process bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
Standardize IT Operations Lead initiatives to standardize and streamline IT operations processes.
Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of cross-functional and organizational changes to identify opportunities for change and improvements in KPIs.
Drive Continuous Improvement Utilize existing tools and other process improvement methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
Perform regular process audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement. Analyse performance data to spot trends and improvement opportunities.
Foster Improvement Culture Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the IT Operations team.
Monitor KPIs Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance.
Address Performance Gaps Develop and implement action plans to address performance gaps.
Collaborate with Stakeholders Work with internal and external stakeholders to implement ideas and processes for performance improvement.
Effective Communication Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for operational initiatives.
Mitigate Risks Identify and mitigate operational risks. Collaborate with the Risk Manager to develop and implement risk management strategies and contingency plans.
Maintain Best Practices Ensure the team follows best practices and maintains service level agreements. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Leverage Data to discover how to use data and feedback to improve services, processes, and practices.
Govern ITIL Processes Define and govern ITIL processes, including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.

Your experience and qualifications

• MSc/B.Tech. /B.E. (Computer Science/IT).
• Total of 8-10 years of experience.
• Certifications like ITIL, PMP etc. would be an added advantage.
• Exposure to ISO standards, TQM, Project Management and other Quality methodologies/systems.
• Must have Hands-on experience building out and delivering process improvement within IT operations.
• Familiarity with industry compliance standards and regulations.

• Strong knowledge of IT Operations best practices & processes.
• Experience in Driving Digital Transformation & Automation strategy will be an added advantage.
• Proven ability to improve processes, oversee projects, and drive operational excellence in IT operations.
• Strong decision-making abilities and resilience, with the ability to operate in ambiguous situations and maintain momentum driving for result.
• Excellent analytical skills and the experience in working with cross functional team to achieve the targeted goals
• Having robust verbal and written communication abilities, a problem-solving mindset, and the capacity to build relationships are crucial qualities for success in this role.
