Jr.Engineer - CAD

Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in performance of daily activities.
• Has general understanding of vehicle function as related to Tower product in chassis, suspension and body.
• Basic understanding of arc welding and spot welding.
• Develop understanding of proper joint design and welding considerations.
• Develop understanding of basic packaging for design clearance studies.
• Develop skills in CAD to provide necessary modeling and drawing support.
• Develop design skills by supporting concept design activities for structural parts.
• Develop skills in the application of basic GD&T for chassis and suspension structures.
• Develop basic skills in CAE.
• Develop basic understanding of stamping processes used at Tower.
• Develop basic knowledge in formability for stamping parts as related to Tower product.
• Develop basic understanding of the assembly processes used by Tower.
• Strive to exceed the customer’s expectations by offering multiple solutions to resolve issues when possible.
• Support in development activities of new or improved designs of automotive structural members.
• Offer creative solutions to design and/or development issues.
• Accountable for on-time delivery of assigned work.
• Participate in product design reviews to support the product and manufacturing teams.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the work area.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
• Comply with central, state, local and corporate policies, regulations and laws.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum one year experience in related field of work.
• Experience with CAD software (Catia, UG or SDRC)
• Knowledge of CAE Has demonstrated a high level of performance and proficiency in Trainee Engineer- Design function and possess all qualifications of such.
• Working knowledge of statics, dynamics, automotive systems, materials and manufacturing processes desired.
• Knowledge of standard quality practices.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Proactive problem solving skills
• Ability to convey technical detail to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Fluent in English speaking. Ability to read and write in English clearly.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
