Role  -  SAP Basis Consultant Location - Mumbai (Lower Parel) SAP Skills Should have 4-6 years of experience primarily in Security and BASIS, competent in the day-to-day activities and the following areas. At least one full life-cycle implementation project (from Blueprint/Explore through Go-Live).  Understands of SAP Activate Methodology. Ability to use Service Marketplace to create tickets, research notes and review release notes. Should have knowledge of System upgrade activities, planning. Well-versed with OSS activities, creating OSS messages, opening systems, maintaining SAP system data, updating new systems, etc. Well-versed with Oracle DB activities, applying parameters at the database level. Should have good knowledge of Linux & HPUX and SAP Security activities. SAP ECC SPS, EHP, NetWeaver Upgrade using SUM tool. Knowledge on SAP AD ID integration - SSO - Single Sign-On Implementation using Kerberos authentication. SAP Certification (Desired). Experience in Manage Engine Ticketing Tool (Desired). Responsibilities System monitoring/health check activities and reporting to the management. Complete SAP monitoring of application servers up & running, user logged in. Monitor R/3 & Java-based systems - work processes and their completion status. Monitor BG jobs periodically, logged users locally & globally. Monitor system status, analyzing system logs, system traces, and RFC destinations. Resolve reporting problems like start-up, BG jobs, critical updates, work processes, system logs, ABAP dumps Memory issues, system/database tablespaces, workload, swaps & buffer monitoring, database alerts, etc. Client Administration – Client creation, client copy, deletion, export & Import. Transport setup and Change Request Management, TR import & troubleshoot. Schedule new background jobs and reporting for the issues & troubleshooting. Installation of new R/3 and Java based systems in Unix & Windows based OS. Perform post-installation activities on R/3 and JAVA-based systems. Create and maintenance of logical systems. Configure the logon load balancing, OP modes, SMLG, etc. Apply support packages & add-ons, database patches & DB client updates. System performance monitoring and fine-tuning at SAP & Database levels. Apply SAP LICENSE NOTE Sying NOTES auto and manually. Solution Manager 7.2 Implementation, configuration, and administration. Solution Manager system configuration, EWA reports generation & troubleshooting. System Refresh/Copy activities with Oracle database User Management - User Creation, deletion, users lock/unlock, extend the validity.  Role Design & build: Creating new roles – Single role, Master, Composite & Derived roles. Limit/delimitation of SAP roles to users. Analyze missing authorizations and assigning roles to users. Role modifications, adjusting derived roles, adding T. Codes, new fields, values, authorization objects copied from Master role, etc. Document SAP security policies and procedures. Sybase 16.0 DB Upgrade, configuration, and administration. SAP NetWeaver 7.5 Enterprise portal Upgrade and administration. SAP Content Server and Max DB database Implementation and administration. SSO Certificate Configuration. SAP Web dispatcher Installation, configuration, and implementation. SAP Router Installation and Administration. SAP Internal / External Audit - Quarterly and Yearly. Secure protocol conversion HTTPS for SAP landscape ABAP and JAVA. SSL Configuration for ABAP and JAVA systems. SAP Role Clean-up and Recertification Activity for users. SOD (Segregation Of Duties) Conflicts Clean-up and Administration for SAP users. SAP Profile Parameter Maintenance.  SAP Backup Maintenance and administration. Monitor SAP Landscape Performance Issues. Administer monthly OS and database level patching. SAP DR BPC Drill - Disaster recovery. Prepare and deliver project reporting data to the service delivery Manager as per project reporting requirements. Business Skills Interact with the end users, and functional & technical consultants, to understand the issues and provide solutions with seamless coordination. Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to communicate with others clearly and concisely. Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Should have well conversant with incident and change management tools and methodologies. Understands of business processes for focus area or module. Ability to do research and perform detailed tasks. Strong analytical skills. Understands business functionality related to SAP module/application as well as can identify touch points between modules. Consulting Skills Should be able to communicate efficiently with cross-functional/technical teams and able to develop a strong working relationship with stakeholders & client’s user base. Aptitude for working in a team environment; problem-solving skills, creative thinking, communicating clearly and empathetically, strong time management, and ability to collaborate with all levels of staff. Ability to explain ideas and concepts to other project team members and to client personnel. Has a solid foundation for consulting “soft” skills necessary for client engagements. Ability to interpret requirements and apply SAP best practices. General Skills/Tasks Assists the project team efforts in developing solutions for client situations. Assist in evaluating and designing application and/or technical architectures. Assist team effort in developing solutions for projects. Completes assignments within budget, meets project deadlines, and makes and keeps sensible commitments to clients and team. Meets billing efficiency targets and complies with all administrative responsibilities in a timely & effective manner. Keeps project management apprised of project direction and client concerns. Analyzes and develops reliable solutions which comply with specifications and standards and execute system tests. Understands SAP methodologies, tools, standards, and techniques. Understands the client’s business and technical environments. Completes project documentation, and demonstrates effective organizational skills, with minimal supervision. Meets quality standards, correctly prioritizes own activities in accordance with project plan and budget. Provides project team leaders with updates on the progress and difficulties encountered and provides value-added insight and understanding. Demonstrates the ability to accomplish project assignments resulting in quality service. Should be able to prepare and deliver project reporting data to the service delivery Manager as per project reporting requirements. Will be required to work regularly from a client location in Mumbai in near future. Should be a quick learner and enthusiast for learning new things.
