PositionOverview
Lifesight isgrowing rapidly and seeking a strong Data Engineer to be a keymember of the Enterprise Data and business Intelligenceorganization with a focus on data engineering services based inBengaluru India. You will be joining as one of the few first dataengineers in our Bengaluru office and as the early engineers in thedata platform. You will have an opportunity to help define ourtechnical strategy and data engineering team culture in India. Youwill design and build data platforms and services while managingour data infrastructure in cloud environments that fuelsstrategic
business decisionsacross Lifesight products.

Asuccessful candidate will be a selfstarter who drives excellence isready to jump into a variety of big data technologies &frameworks and can coordinate and collaborate with other engineersas well as mentor other engineers in theteam.

  • Designand implement data management services for data trust datacompliance data access and metadata management in the form ofscalable and configurable while clearly articulating the technicalrationale behind your design and implementation choices
  • Selectingand integrating any Big Data tools and frameworks required toprovide requested capabilities
  • ImplementingELT processes
  • Monitoringperformance and advising any necessary infrastructure changes
  • Build dataplatforms and services to handle both realtime and batch processingof large data sets.
  • Takeendtoend ownership of the design and implementation of core productfunctionality and key technicalinitiatives.


RequirementsYouare perfect for the role if you have

  • 5years of data engineering experience in a fastpaced company thatdeliverssoftware.
  • Adeep understanding of designing and building highly scalable Datawarehouses and Data pipelines.
  • HandsonExperience in SQL Java/Scala programming languages.
  • Deepunderstanding of Apache Spark Spark tuning creating RDDs andbuilding data frames. Create Java/ Scala Spark jobs for datatransformation and aggregation.
  • Experiencein building distributed environments using any of Kafka Spark HiveHadoop etc.
  • Goodunderstanding of the architecture and functioning of Distributeddatabasesystems.
  • Experienceworking with various file formats like Parquet Avro etc for largevolumes ofdata.
  • Experiencewith one or more NoSQLdatabases.
  • Strongunderstanding of engineering best practices and designprinciples.

You are perfect for the role if you have 5+ years of dataengineering experience in a fast-paced company that deliverssoftware. A deep understanding of designing and building highlyscalable Data warehouses and Data pipelines. Hands-on Experience inSQL, Java/Scala programming languages. Deep understanding of ApacheSpark, Spark tuning, creating RDDs, and building data frames.Create Java/ Scala Spark jobs for data transformation andaggregation.
