Role: Observability Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Observability Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in infrastructure and application setup, along with proficiency in tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Prometheus, Cortex, and Druid. The role involves managing dashboards and ensuring a robust observability infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain monitoring solutions using Prometheus, Cortex, and Druid for comprehensive observability of our infrastructure and applications.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration of observability solutions into the infrastructure.
• Automate infrastructure setup using helm chart, Terraform and Terragrunt for scalability.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of monitoring systems.
• Collaborate closely with the DevOps and Engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of observability tools into the application setup and infrastructure.
• Design and implement robust, scalable dashboards for monitoring various metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Contribute to the enhancement and optimization of existing monitoring tools and systems.
• Provide guidance and support for both infrastructure and application setups, ensuring observability best practices are followed.
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and resolution related to observability and monitoring issues.

Requirements:
• Proven experience in infrastructure and application setup.
• Experience in designing, configuring, and managing monitoring dashboards ( e.g. Grafana).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with Terraform, Terragrunt, and Helm charts for infrastructure setup and management.
• Familiarity with infrastructure and application setups, troubleshooting, and incident response in a cloud environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
