JobDescription:As a Senior JavaEngineer you will be part of a team responsible for softwaredevelopment and the delivery of data pipelines for the DataPlatform is a cloud platform that manages configurations andoperational data for millions of routers and provides features forboth residential and business customers to improve their networkconnectivityexperience.
CoreResponsibilities: SoftwareDesign & Development:Design newsoftware and web applications support applications underdevelopment and customize current ones. Develop software updateprocesses for existingapplications.Participate in the rollout of software releases and SiteReliability Engineering (SRE) activities for platformapplications. HighPerformance ServerApplications:Design and develop lowlatencyhighthroughput server applications to handle large volumes of datastream processing using big data technologies such asApacheSpark Flink Kafka and AWS serviceslike Kinesis SNS SQS and OpenSearch. Utilize Java Scala Pythonscripting and microservices with the Springframework(e.g. Spring Boot) along with NoSQLdatabases like Cassandra or MongoDB. Assist in developingmonitoring and evaluating performancemetrics. Documentation &Reporting:Write and edit technicaldocumentation and requirements including evaluation plans testresults technical manuals and formal recommendations andreports. TechnologicalDevelopment:Keep current with technologicaladvancements in the industry. Monitor competitive applications andproducts reviewing literature and patents relevant toassignedprojects.Technical Leadership:Provide technicalleadership throughout the design process offering guidance on bestpractices procedures and techniques. Mentor junior SoftwareDevelopmentEngineers.Quality Assurance:Collaborate with theQuality Assurance team to ensure applications meet specificationsand technical requirements. ProcessDesign:Demonstrate expertise in processdesign and redesign presenting and defending architectural designand technical choices to internalstakeholders.
