Description

: SR. SRE Engineer

We are on the lookout for a Senior SRE Engineer with a strong background in hands-on development using Terraform and CI/CD. If you are a seasoned professional with a passion for crafting high-quality Site Reliability Engineer, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities :

Onboard applications to observability platforms leveraging Prometheus and Grafana including prework and discovery for adherance to security and networking guidelines and guardrails. Inclusive of ingesting, processing and exporting logs, metrics, traces and SLI's to observability platforms.  Setup and configure Grafana Dashboards and Design and configure instrumentation for custom Probes, Prometheus exporters, Open Telemetry agents/SDK's for both applications, infrastructure and microservices. Look at ways to automate and reduce toil.  Create effective alerting rules to proactively identify and resolve potential issues using PagerDuty.  Collaborate with developers to improve application observability and monitoring strategies. Automation & Infrastructure Management: Develop and implement automation scripts to automate routine tasks and incident response procedures. Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to manage AWS infrastructure.  Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and best practices for secure and reliable deployments. Work with other teams to design and implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and testing strategies.  Incident Response & Problem Solving: Work collaboratively with other engineers to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and efficiently. Analyze incident data, identify trends, and implement proactive solutions to prevent future occurrences. Work on recovery runbooks and documentation of incident post mortems 

Must-Have Skills :

Excellent understanding of observability tools like Open Telemetry, Prometheus and Grafana in addition to alerting with PagerDuty  Experience with Cloud computing, networking and storage services ( Ideally AWS)  Experience in designing for resilience (cloud and on-premise) - fault tolerance, redundancy, high availability, load-balancing, controlling blast radius Strong understanding of setting SLO's, SLI's and Error budgets  Experience with scripting languages like Python or Go for automation.  Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.  Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
