Overview:As anOphthalmologist for OPD you will play a crucial role in providingspecialized medical care to patients with eyerelated conditions.Your expertise in diagnosing treating and managing various oculardiseases and disorders will be essential in improving the visionand overall quality of life for your patients. Your presence in theOutpatient Department (OPD) will ensure timely access to expert eyecare services contributing to the overall success of the healthcareorganization.KeyResponsibilities:
  • Conductingcomprehensive eye examinations andassessments.
  • Diagnosing and treating oculardiseases and conditions.
  • Performing surgicalprocedures such as cataract surgery and laser eyesurgery.
  • Prescribing medications and eyeglassesor contact lenses.
  • Providing pre andpostoperative care to patients undergoing eyesurgeries.
  • Collaborating with other healthcareprofessionals for integrated patientcare.
  • Utilizing advanced diagnostic equipmentand technology for accurateassessments.
  • Educating patients about eyehealth and disease prevention.
  • Participating indepartmental meetings and continuing medicaleducation.
  • Maintaining accurate and updatedpatient records and charts.
  • Adhering to ethicaland legal standards in medicalpractice.
  • Participating in quality improvementinitiatives and research projects.
  • Supervisingand mentoring medical students andresidents.
  • Contributing to the development ofclinical guidelines andprotocols.
RequiredQualifications:
  • Doctor of Medicine(MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)degree.
  • Board certification inOphthalmology.
  • Valid state medical license andDEA registration.
  • A minimum of 25 years ofclinical experience in Ophthalmology.
  • Provenexpertise in performing eye surgeries and laserprocedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal andcommunication skills.
  • Strong clinical judgmentand problemsolving abilities.
  • Ability to workeffectively in a multidisciplinary teamenvironment.
  • Proficiency in electronic medicalrecord (EMR) systems.
  • Commitment to ongoingprofessional development and CMEactivities.
  • Knowledge of relevant healthcareregulations and compliancestandards.
  • Demonstrated leadership and teachingskills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail andpatientcentered care approach.
  • Availability toparticipate in oncall and weekend duties asneeded.
  • Strong dedication to ethical andevidencebased medicalpractice.
