BestEx Research is a financial technology and research firm specializing in building sophisticated execution algorithms and transaction cost modeling tools servicing multiple asset classes. The firm provides its services to performance-demanding hedge funds, CTAs, asset managers, and banks through a traditional electronic broker and in a broker-neutral Software as a Service (SaaS) model.

Its cloud-based platform, Algo Management System (AMS), is the first end-to-end algorithmic trading solution for equities, futures, and foreign exchange that delivers an entire ecosystem around execution algorithms, including transaction cost analysis (TCA), an algo customization tool called Strategy Studio, a trading dashboard, and pre-trade analytics in a single platform. The platform is currently live for US equity and global futures trading.

This role is for a hands-on Engineering Lead to develop our Algo Management System.

Requirements

As the Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will be a key player in shaping the user interface and user experience of our products. We are looking for a React & Node JS expert with at least 8 years of experience in front-end development who can provide technical leadership, mentorship, and drive excellence in UI development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Leadership:
  • Lead and inspire a team of front-end engineers, providing technical guidance and expertise.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and modern UI development techniques.

React and Node JS Expertise:

  • Architect, design, and develop complex web applications using React and Node JS framework.

Code Quality and Performance:

  • Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability through code reviews and continuous improvement.
  • Optimize front-end code for speed and scalability.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and back-end developers to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Translate design concepts into responsive and functional user interfaces.

Mentorship:

  • Mentor junior and mid-level front-end engineers, fostering their growth and development.
  • Conduct knowledge sharing sessions and technical training.

Research and Innovation:

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in front-end development.
  • Explore and recommend new tools, libraries, and frameworks to improve our development process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in front-end development.
  • Strong proficiency in React and Node JS .
  • Familiarity with state management libraries like Redux.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integration with back-end services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for crafting exceptional user interfaces.
