As an Web Development Architect you will play a critical role in designing and overseeing the development of web applications and systems using the Java programming language.

BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience 8- 10 years of relevant development experience [Job Overview]:

[Primary Skills]:

8-10 Years of Java website development and operations experience Candidate should have sound knowledge of  Java frameworks(Java, J2EE, Spring boot) ,  databases(relational/noSQL)  and a good amount of experience when it comes to  hands-on coding Strong knowledge on PIM, Translation tools  and CDN (AWS CloudFront or Akamai) Experience with Analytics integration preferably Google Analytics or Adobe Launch Experience in delivering high performance websites with focus on scalability, load balancing, CDN, content/database optimization , asynchronous processing, Mobile Optimization etc Knowledge /Expertise in implementing the required security aspects related to authentication/authorization, Data Encryption, Data Privacy and Compliance, Session Management etc. Should have good exposure and experience of CI/CD, should have used at least one automated deployment (Jenkins, Gitlab etc.) Strong knowledge of front-end technologies HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript Framrwork or Libraries (React or Angular or Vue) Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture . Proficiency in database design and SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle). Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (e.g., AWS, Docker, Kubernetes). Understanding of web security best practices and OWASP Top Ten vulnerabilities.

[Good to have Skills]:

CMS like AEM/WordPress/Drupal, etc. Familiar with Agile development concepts Enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Strong communication and documentation skills Strong accountability and motivation Contribution to the open-source community (ie. blogs, source code, etc) Should have strong knowledge with regards to the industry best practices on code and system design Should have a zeal to explore on any new technologies, languages and approaches on a need basis Should have good logical thinking capability to find the optimal solutions to problems

[Responsibilities and Duties]:

Architectural Design: Lead the design and development of web applications, ensuring they meet high standards of performance, security, and scalability. Technology Selection: Evaluate and recommend Java-based technologies and frameworks for web development projects. Coding and Development: Collaborate with development teams to write clean, maintainable, and efficient Java code. System Integration: Integrate web applications with other systems, databases, and third-party services. Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks and ensure optimal application performance. Security : Implement security best practices and measures to protect web applications against vulnerabilities and threats. Documentation : Create technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, coding standards, and guidelines. Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams, fostering their growth and development. Project Management: Collaborate with project managers to define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables. Testing : Oversee testing processes and ensure comprehensive test coverage, including unit testing and integration testing.
