The Role

A SystemsEngineer, or Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for developing, installing,and maintaining company-wide systems. Their duties include updating computersoftware, installing new hardware and troubleshooting technical problems.

Skills Requirements

Mandatory Skillset – End user support, InternetInformation Services (IIS), Windows Installation, O365, AD, Server, Storage,Network, SQL database, VM

Secondary Skillset - Server, Storage, Azure and documentation


Requirements

Shouldhave experience with installing and managing Windows Servers, InternetInformation Services (IIS), Active Directory, VMware, SAN Systems
Shouldhave experience with Office 365 Platform and hybrid Exchange environmentadministration.
Shouldhave experience with network configuration, DHCP, and other network protocols.
Shouldhave experience with installation and configuration of new software andhardware on servers.
Ableto act as an escalation point for the help desk and investigates user problems,identify their source, and determine possible solutions, tests, and implementsolutions or workarounds as needed.
Shouldhave experience in troubleshooting issues and outages and performing root causeanalysis.
Actas a Partner with the infrastructure team to troubleshoot and resolve networkand systems issues.
Ableto investigate, recommend, and install enhancements and operating proceduresthat optimize system availability.
Ableto create and maintain documentation of system infrastructure and applications.
Ableto provide training and technical direction for junior members of the IT team.
Proficientin customer support, Help Desk, and problem triaging
Proficientin PowerShell scripting
