Location of the Position: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Qualification of the Position: Postgraduate in Finance (MBA with specialization in Finance) is preferred. Postgraduate in Economics, or Urban Planning or, Construction Management or any related discipline, can also apply. Any additional qualification will be highly regarded.

Professional Experience: 6-8 year experience is preferred. Prior experience in any IPC and/or Big 4 (EY, KPMG, Deloitte, PwC) and/or Big 3 (McKinsey, Bain Consulting, Boston Consulting Group), and/or any other financial / PE / management consultancy involved in dealing with large portfolio valuation, will be a big plus.

Business Development: 

Demonstrate strong business development activities through networking, industry seminars and other sources. Leverage existing and generate new relationships with PE/VC funds, financial institutions, developers and corporates (hereinafter collectively referred to as ‘Clients’), particularly focusing on real estate portfolio valuation assignments. Build upon existing and generate relationships with Clients, in India. Existing relationships with these Clients will be a big advantage for the candidate. Identifying Clients proactively who would require portfolio valuation. Ability to secure assignments independently and work with senior team members to secure large portfolio valuation. Networking with Clients and other professionals for identifying business opportunities and pursue those opportunities leveraging the senior team members.  Preparation of marketing materials such as presentations, proposals. etc. for large portfolio valuation. Develop and execute parallel strategies for business development for pursuing large portfolio valuation. Responsible for meeting and / or exceeding individual and team-responsible targets.

Execution and Team Management 

Effectively manage the secured and to be secured portfolio valuation, including, but not limited to, assessing Client requirements, initiate & maintain Client interactions, close on the numbers, manage report submissions and other deliverables, for all portfolio valuations assignments, pan India. Ensuring optimum Client service delivery and engagement - calls, meetings, site visits, presentations, follow up, accurate & timely submission of deliverables and overall consistency and governance during the execution phase. Oversee, review, and approve work done by team members on portfolio valuation assignments. During the tenure, candidate will also be required to get involved in the execution and management if circumstances and delivery timelines entail such efforts. Build a Portfolio Management Team (3-5 members) over next 2 years and contribute for exponential increase in the revenue under portfolio management. Participate in periodic calls with senior leadership for providing business updates. Ensure timely collection of revenue, no/minimal bad debts, timely delivery of service, and generate business pipeline on ongoing & continued basis. Enable and empower team to become better professionals. Develop second-level leadership under you at all points of time.

Desired Experience and Expertise

Should have some existing relationships with major developers, corporate houses / industrial houses, banks, PE/VC funds, and NBFCs, in India. Existing relationships with these Clients at a regional/global level will be a big advantage for the candidate. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills. strong analytical, proven negotiation & financial skills with the ability to adapt to change. Self-starter, confident, collaborative with ability to multitask and work in a team. Knowledge of real estate transaction structures (outright sale/JV/JD/DM, etc.). Sectoral experience required for residential, commercial/IT, retail, industrial, mixed use developments, integrated townships, and any other real estate sectors. Ability to deliver under challenging scenarios. Commitment to providing deliverables within tight timeframes even if it involves putting in additional work hours, and working on holidays, if required. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
