Onsemi is seeking a skilled Cloud Database Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database automation and cloud computing, with a strong understanding of cloud architecture, database optimization, and cloud computing delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS).

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage automated database solutions in cloud environments.

Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and Ansible.

Optimize database performance and ensure high availability and scalability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate database solutions with cloud services.

Monitor and troubleshoot database systems to ensure optimal performance.

Implement security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Contribute as Oracle CLoud Infrastructure subject matter expert to identify and solve enterprise problems and translate application/org requirements into deliverable solutions.

Create blueprints for hybrid cloud infrastructures centered around OCI (network, server, storage, security, and management software topologies).

Run technical workshops and advise stakeholders on architectural and strategic decisions.

Ensure that a quality solution is delivered in a timely manner, within budget.

Participate in architecture definition for Cloud Initiatives utilizing industry best practices and technologies.

Provide hands-on prototypes and implementations incorporating cloud engineering best practices.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications in cloud computing (., OCI, Azure Administrator).

Experience with containerization technologies (., Docker, Kubernetes).

Proven experience with cloud platforms such as Preferred OCI, or Azure

Strong knowledge of database management systems (., SQL, NoSQL like Couchbase, Casendara, Mongo, Graph DB).

Good knowledge of cloud computing delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) and deployment models related to Public, Private, and Hybrid Cloud service.

10+ years of specific technology domain areas (., cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, database) experience.

7+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in infrastructures experience.

7+ years of design & implementation experience with large distributed applications and database automation.

7+ years of experience in core disciplines (., compute, networking, storage, security, database architecture).

Working knowledge of cloud technologies.

Strong automation development skills. Needs to be proficient in one or more automation languages (., Ansible, Cloud Formations, Chef, Puppet, Terraform).

Deep understanding of cloud component architecture: Microservices, Containers, IaaS, Storage, Security.

Knowledge of routing/switching technologies.

Experience in developing and implementing DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and monitoring/observability solutions.

Professional experience architecting and operating cloud-based solutions.

Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages (., Python, Bash).

Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
