ComaeaConsulting has been retained exclusively for a new opportunity witha MNC in the shippingindustry.


ORGANIZATION:

Asa key person in the Technical Department you will be in charge ofthe technical and general management of a fleet of LNG ships andreport to the senior management team. Your tasks include budgetcontrol managing repair and maintenance of the vessel assignedcompliance with regulatory requirements and beyond. A team oftechnical superintendents and purchasers will assist you.


YOURRESPONSIBILITIES:


Budgetmanagement: Take full responsibility for the budgets ofassigned ships. Liaise closely with the technical purchasing andfinance teams to ensure the budget is within the agreed target.Manage drydocking of the vessels within allotted budgetlimits.


Relationshipmanagement: Build and maintain closerelationships with the clients ship s crew and ship managementteams and onshoreteams.


Technicalmanagement and operations: Planningand allocation of resources setting processes implementingimprovement plans in a rigorous and structured way for planned androutine maintenance of the ships under yourcharge.


HealthSafety and Environment Compliance:Responsible for creating and maintaining a safe andcompliant working environment as per procedure and work towardsquality and continuousimprovement.

Humancapital development and People management:Lead manage and motivate the employees on board.Development of performing crew teams (onshore and onboard) with astrong focus on quality safety operations and technicalexcellence.



Requirements
  • Youmust be a qualified Marine Engineer or equivalent diploma holder inmarine/navigation
  • Minimum7 years of experience in a shore based position as a SeniorSuperintendent or TechnicalManager.
  • Atleast 2 to 3 years experience working managing LNG or dual fuelvessels as a Senior Superintendent or TechnicalManager
  • Experiencesailing on LNG Vessels at a Senior Rank of Chief Engineer ispreferred
  • Experienceworking a Technical or Fleet Manager ispreferred
  • Experiencein managing dry docking at shipyards isrequired
  • Businessacumen with capability to manage the budgetary responsibilities formultiplevessels
  • Peopleoriented and passionate about developing shipboard and shored basedteams
  • Ableto multitask and work under pressure to meetdeadlines
  • Wellupdated with the latest regulatory requirements and itsimplementation
