What a typical day looks like:

Carry out supplier validation audits, with supplier support and supplier advanced product quality planning (APQP). Work with Engineering (Design and Manufacturing Engineers) team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) Facilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues within assigned projects and suppliers Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, or system Preparation & Validation of First Article Inspection Manage and coordinate supplier Material/Non-Material cost recovery for Supplier Quality issues Support in Internal /External Audit readiness Contribute to continuous improvement activities Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices/designs and future trends Building big data collection and analytics capabilities to uncover customer, product, and operational insights Analyzing data sources and proposing solutions to strategic planning problems on a one-time or periodic basis Providing data-driven decision support Leverages data analytics and statistical methods to optimize manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and enhance operational efficiency.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. Typically requires 4 - 7 years of experience. Electronic Assembly: color code, component, schematics. May require various PCB operations.  Testing: oscilloscope, cable and harness testing, trouble shooting, component testing, logic analyzer. Inspection: bare board, systems, components, cable and harness, microscope, measuring tools. Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), TS16949, ISO45001/OHSAS18001, ISO14001 Lean Manufacturing knowledge
