What success looks like in this role:
Senior Google Cloud Architect will be responsible to
Develop comprehensive cloud architecture solutions on Google Cloud Platform, considering factors such as scalability, reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency. Work with Rest of the Leadership to Develop a Service offerings and Technology adoption roadmap based on GCP. Design robust and scalable cloud-native applications and infrastructure, adhering to industry best practices and architectural principles. Lead the implementation of cloud solutions, including provisioning of GCP resources, deployment of applications, and configuration of networking and security settings. Work closely with development teams to integrate cloud services into application architectures, ensuring seamless interoperability and performance. Conduct performance analysis and optimization of cloud infrastructure, identifying opportunities for enhancing efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Implement automation and orchestration solutions to streamline deployment processes and improve operational efficiency. Define and implement robust security controls and compliance measures within the GCP environment, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and adherence to regulatory requirements. Conduct regular security assessments and audits, addressing any identified vulnerabilities or gaps in security posture. Serve as a subject matter expert on Google Cloud Platform, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members and stakeholders. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to drive consensus on technical decisions and strategies. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing, particularly within the Google Cloud ecosystem. Explore and evaluate new GCP services and features, assessing their potential value and applicability to organizational requirements.#LI-SP2
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Master’s Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years of relevant IT implementation experience. Extensive experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform, with a strong understanding of GCP services and capabilities. Proven track record of architecting and deploying scalable, highly available cloud-based systems in production environments. Proficiency in cloud automation and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager. Deep understanding of cloud security principles and best practices, with hands-on experience implementing security controls and compliance measures. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive resolution. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Architecting/implementing solutions using cloud-native technologies Proficiency with at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools Hands-on skills with Infrastructure as Code tool such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, ARM Templates Familiarity with good coding practices and remediation of vulnerabilities from SAST and DAST scans Knowledge of current industry coding standards, tools and best practicesCertifications -
