Your Role-

Your mission

As a Diagnostics engineer, your mission is to empower customer centres for maintaining highest reliability of our equipment at the lowest possible cost of operation. Thanks to SMARTLINK (IoT), Atlas Copco is capturing information about the conditions of machines installed at customers’ sites. Combining this data with our technical knowledge about the equipment itself, allows us to remotely detect problems and better understanding the running conditions at customer site. You shall be achieving your mission by remotely diagnosing problems through Smart link data & intelligence of system & providing technical insights to customer centres.

The role

In depth analysis of individual machines behaviour based on IoT Data uploads & information from ERP system with objective of improving safety, reliability & Productivity of customers.Provide clear insights of the installation & machines for relevant corrective & preventive actions.You are responsible for pro-active remote technical support to contribute for reducing MTTR for high potential customer.As a Global Diagnostic Engineer, you need to align your technical expertise as per global requirement for CTS DivisionYou actively contribute for validation & execution for advanced prescriptive algorithms & this will be the key driver for achieving your mission.You will follow up for given suggestions/improvements & seek for feedback to improve diagnostic analytics & competence level.

Next to the daily diagnostic tasks, you will be in close contact with the technical & Engineering team at CTS Division. As such, you are not only a user of the system, but we also expect your valuable input on further process improvements. You contribute with your expertise to further increase the intelligence of the platform and further expand the logic and algorithms while developing concepts for prescriptive maintenance program.

Skills and experience

Experience Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical/Electrical with minimum 2-3 years of field experience in troubleshooting, field testing of compressors.

Insights in machine behavior through practical experience (prototype testing, field troubleshooting) is required. It speaks for itself that field experience, knowing typical compressor room setups and conditions, is considered a strong plus. 

Knowledge

You have strong technical knowledge; specific knowledge of the Atlas Copco Compressor Technique equipment range is required. Main focus will be on screw compressors (oil-free and oil-injected), but experience on centrifugal compressors, dryers (refrigerant, adsorption), gas generators, etc. is of course a plus

Good analytical skills: You feel comfortable working with numbers/data, e.g., collecting and analysing trend graphs, combining the info with insights from ERP and previous site visits, etc., to come to a sound conclusion.

You are fluent in English: both written and spoken.

Personality requirements

You like open communication and enjoy working with different cultures
You are decisive (not afraid of making errors and willing to learn by doing)

Open minded; expect the unexpected (= stay sceptical when viewing at the data and information)

Not afraid to approach other stakeholders (customer center specialists, local engineering or technical support specialists, etc.)

You work with a structured approach when collecting information and data, but also when closing the feedback loop to further increase your learning.
