Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing IT Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT application architecture, system solutions, and project management, with a focus on manufacturing processes and value chain integration. The role requires expertise in enterprise applications, scientific and lab applications, and next-gen technologies to optimize manufacturing operations and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the selection, implementation, and maintenance of pharma scientific applications, laboratory information management systems (LIMS), electronic document management systems (EDMS), and other specialized similar software solutions Be a liaison between the business, technical, and corporate teams to implement strategic projects Evaluate and select third-party vendors and service providers for IT applications and services, contract technical assessment, and manage ongoing relationships to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, leveraging IT solutions to enhance operational efficiency and productivity Ensure IT applications and systems comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards for data privacy, security, and quality, implementing appropriate controls and safeguards as necessary. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the performance of IT applications, generating reports and dashboards to track system uptime, performance, and user satisfaction Identify opportunities for innovation and optimization within the IT applications portfolio, proactively seeking feedback from stakeholders and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business value Deliver comprehensive technical support, training, and second-line assistance to end-users across IT applications and manufacturing systems, ensuring optimal utilization, issue resolution, and adherence to best practices while fostering user adoption and proficiency through effective knowledge transfer

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Masters in Computer Applications Proven experience in IT application architecture, system solutions, and project management. Expertise in Pharma applications suites like ELN, LAB systems and data management. Strong understanding of database design, security protocols, and network security. Experience with project management tools such as Atlassian JIRA and MS Project. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and value chain integration, including supply chain management and manufacturing plant solutions relating to MES, BMR and IIoT. Application integration expertise along with ERP/SAP with manufacturing plant applications. Knowledge of next-gen technologies such as business intelligence, cloud development, web platforms, and SaaS-based product implementation. Familiarity with core manufacturing processes and how IT supports them (e.g., Lean principles, automation Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, OR master’s degree in computer applications Certifications in project management, IT architecture, or related areas. Previous experience in the manufacturing industry.

Education and Experience

Education

Bachelor’s in technology (Computer Science, Information Technology), Masters in Computer Applications.

Industry Experience

15+ years of experience in delivering IT applications (In-house and outsourced), including 3-5 years of experience working as an IT business partner.

Technical Skills

Java, J2EE, SharePoint 2016 On-Premises, SharePoint Online, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS, REST APIs, SSRS, SSAS and .NET (ASP.NET, ADO.NET, LINQ, Web Forms, Console Applications, Web services, Web APIs & MVC), Dev Express. Microsoft SQL Server or any similar database knowledge. Power Platform, Power Apps, and Power Automate. Expertise in middle ware IIoT devices (sensors, machines) and SAP converting data formats, filters relevant information, and routes it to the appropriate SAP modules Knowledge in adapters and connectors specifically designed to manage integrations of manufacturing applications with ERP or other business applications
