About the Team :

Tide’s Security Engineering team is dedicated to ensuring the security and integrity of our platform and services. As a Senior Software Engineer - Security, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building and delivering security products to internal (and external) stakeholders; ultimately safeguarding Tide infrastructure and protecting our Members’ data. You will lead the charge in developing secure systems, frameworks and building paved roads for the wider Tide engineering community. This involves collaborating closely across the entire business to implement robust security measures, making Tide’s systems more resilient.

About the Role : 

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be

Building experiences for the engineering community; thus spending most of your time designing, building and delivering elegant solutionsExperienced with Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelinesBuilding widely adopted paved roads for the engineering communityPerforming application security design and code reviewsImproving engineering standards in line with industry best practicesDriving innovationAutomating where and when it makes sense toChampioning resilience through all aspects of the organisationContributing to innovative solutions and products to keep our Members safer than ever

What we are looking for : 

Have at least 4+ years of experience in software engineering preferably into security domainHave extensive experience building server-side applications and detailed knowledge of the relevant programming languages for your stack (i.e Java 17 or newer)Have sound knowledge of a Java backend framework (e.g. Spring/Spring Boot)Extensive experience in software engineering with a strong focus on resilience and securityA passion for security concepts and principles; you probably follow a number of security blogsFamiliarity of cloud security concepts and technologiesStrong understanding of CI/CD pipelinesAbility to work collaboratively with engineers and non-engineers alike; you’re able to get your point across and influence conversationsStrong written and verbal communication skills.
