Power Platform Developer
Position Summary
Seeking a transformative and high performing Individual to join in building out a new team in Finance Center of Expertise. Someone with advanced technical skills, lean minded, and a self-starter. Performs first level of Production Support. Performing analysis and design, write technical specifications, configuration, including testing and implementation.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Provides quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer enquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints.
• Negotiates and counsels at an advanced level with an audience which may not be knowledgeable in the subject area. Demonstrates solid persuasion skills and manages differing interests and perspectives.
• Performs program modifications, performance tuning, problem solving, debugging and unit testing.
• Work tasks encompass concepts within the web development best practices which might include:
o Experience in Agile Methodology and usage of tools like JIRA
o Exposure to HP Service Management & HP Quality Center
• Actively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with 3M’s values and ethical standards
 
General Qualifications/Experience:

• IT Bachelor level university/college degree in IT related field.
• 5+ years relevant working experience in IT related field.
• Experience in Automation / Continuous Improvement Projects within Finance Function (RTR/F&A) & have driven / initiated continuous improvements / automation Projects in their current role.
• Working knowledge and experience on power platform (power apps, power automate, power bi).
• Hands-on experience with PowerApps technical solutions with a focus on Model Driven solutions.
• Understanding and knowledge in Power Bi, Dax, and BI related technologies.
• Experience in SQL Scripting using various Data Type extension, Variables, Procedures, Triggers, Joins, Modelling Language and Best Practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot, support and maintain the tools and projects handled by the team.
• Working Knowledge of ITIL methodology (Incident management/Change Management).
• Exposure to HP Service Management & HP Quality Center.
• Strong business acumen: capable of understanding complex finance concepts, processes, and measures contained in user requirements documentation.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum ceremonies and software such as JIRA.


Experience desired
• Understanding of client/server architecture for Web Development and how to support it.
• Basic expertise understanding Web Development concepts such as (MVC, OOP, Design Patterns)
• Experience on back-end Development such as .Net, ColdFusion, Java or similar Object-oriented languages.
• Basic understanding of the Front-end development technologies such as (JS, jQuery, Ajax, JSON)
• Experience with Snowflake / HANA Studio / MS SQL Studio, data modelling in multiple databases such as Snowflake, SAP Hana, and SQL.
• Experience using e.g. statistical computer languages (R, Python) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets 
• Familiar with Microsoft SSIS Packages and ETL methodologies.


Additional Skills (desired) 
• Experience working with SAP, Salesforce, Workday, Vistex
• Lean / Six Sigma experience 
• Advanced Excel, Power pivot, VBA, MS SQL, SharePoint
Education and training required
• Bachelors, Masters or Advanced Degree in Computer Science or IT Related field.

• Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter.
• Must be detail oriented, self-directed and have strong independent problem-solving skills.
• Strong project leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of information technology opportunities and the ability to evaluate ideas and make proposals.
• Ability to multi-task is inherent in the job responsibilities.
• Ability to collaborate / teamwork skills is inherent in the job responsibilities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills in English
• Must be able to travel internationally if needed.
