Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Security Team Lead to join our team at May I Help You. As the IT Security Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing our IT security initiatives and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. This is a senior-level position with a focus on overseeing the security team and providing expertise in the implementation and maintenance of security systems and protocols. The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of experience in the field and be passionate about protecting our organization from potential threats.


Qualifications and Skills


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science or Cybersecurity
  • Proven experience in IT security, ideally in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of network and system security principles
  • Experience in developing and implementing IT security policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for IT security
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Certifications such as CISSP or CISM are highly desirable


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Lead and manage the IT security team, providing guidance and support to team members
  • Develop and implement IT security policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data
  • Monitor and assess the organization's security posture, identifying vulnerabilities and developing plans to mitigate risks
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software
  • Conduct regular security audits and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses and recommend improvements
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in IT security, sharing knowledge with the team and implementing best practices
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure IT security requirements are met in new projects and initiatives
  • Provide training and awareness sessions to employees on IT security best practices
  • Respond to security incidents, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions
  • Prepare and present reports on IT security metrics and performance to senior management
  • Leadership: The ability to influence people and focus them on specific objectives
  • Risk management: The ability to identify potential security risks and work to limit them
  • Security operations: The ability to plan and manage security projects and initiatives
  • Developing and implementing security policies: The ability to create and enforce security policies
  • Ability to lead a team: The ability to plan, supervise, and execute the delivery of team security operations
  • Identity management: The ability to ensure that the security policy demonstrates an acceptable use for various roles and responsibilities within the organization
