In Decathlon Technology India, we have established a big sizable team of technology experts who are accelerating the journey of digital transformation to become DIGITAL GIANT. We want to welcome more hands on the team who are stronger than us to go even faster on some key strategies linked to transformation. 

Our Technology teams are responsible for BUILD, MAINTAIN & SUPPORT of all the applications used by our internal and external users for ONLINE/OFFLINE business. We have our in-house built Self Checkout Application for offline shopping, Headless commerce (Mobile/Desktop) application for online shopping, interactive applications for playground, events booking, connectors for integrating with external marketplaces, 3rd party integrators for a sport eco-system experience and several robust services for transport management (last mile delivery), order management, back office operations and fintech. Additionally, we have many SaaS applications integrated with our systems to gain time to market and test the real desire of our customers. Many projects are lined in the direction of Mobile Application, Circular economy, Omni experience and Innovations in Digital Technology.

Profile

Role overview,

As an Openbravo Expert, you will play a pivotal role in our digital transformation journey. Your expertise in Openbravo and the retail domain will drive the implementation, configuration, and support of Openbravo ERP software solutions, tailored to cater to the unique needs of our retail operations. By blending your deep understanding of retail processes with your Openbravo proficiency, you will be instrumental in executing successful retail-centric projects.

Your main responsibilities includes, 

Design, configure, and implement Openbravo modules with a keen focus on retail-specific features like point-of-sale (POS), promotions, and customer loyalty.

Demonstrate a strong technical acumen by effectively troubleshooting and debugging issues within the Openbravo ERP system, especially during critical situations.

Leverage your expertise in SQL, Java, JavaScript, and Openbravo's underlying technologies to analyze the codebase, address technical challenges, and customize functionalities.

Oversee deployment and maintenance of Openbravo ERP across various platforms, including Linux/Unix-based systems and cloud infrastructure.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and technical consultants, to seamlessly integrate Openbravo with other retail systems and modules.

Drive comprehensive system testing, including functional and integration testing, to ensure the stability and quality of Openbravo configurations in a retail environment.

Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Openbravo ERP solutions in retail, optimizing configurations, analyzing system performance, and resolving issues.

Stay updated with the latest Openbravo releases, features, and enhancements, particularly those relevant to the retail domain, and assess their potential impact on existing implementations.

Identify opportunities for process improvements in the retail domain and propose recommendations to enhance retail workflows through Openbravo functionalities.

Collaborate with retail users throughout the implementation lifecycle, ensuring project milestones are met, and deliverables are on time and within budget.

Document retail-specific functional requirements, solution designs, and system configurations for future reference and knowledge sharing.

  Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. 3 to 6 years of proven experience as an Openbravo developer/expert in the retail domain or a similar role with a strong retail focus. Proficiency in Openbravo ERP modules tailored for retail, including POS, inventory management, supply chain, promotions, and customer loyalty. Experience with Openbravo extensions, customization, and third-party retail system integration. Strong analytical skills to translate retail business requirements into technical solutions, and excellent problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills to collaborate with retail clients and cross-functional teams. Self-motivated with the ability to excel both independently and as part of a fast-paced retail environment. Openbravo certification(s) and additional retail-specific certifications will be advantageous. Willingness to travel extensively to gather retail feedback across various store locations in India.


Attributes of a Successful Candidate:

A technical expert in Openbravo with deep integration knowledge and understanding of data flow nuances. Proficient in deployment processes, acting as an ERP consultant for best practices, with a track record in multiple ERP integrations. Skilled in transforming ERP solutions across multiple domains through optimization, performance testing, and comprehensive analysis. Enthusiastic about technology, collaborative by nature, open-minded, and a good listener. A strategic leader committed to continuous self-learning and a strong sense of teamwork. A big fan of technology, you are also human-oriented and co-work lover. Curious and willing to listen to others with an open mindset. A person who loves to work with people and is happy to share and develop them by setting up a high demanding level to himself and team as an example always working towards operational excellence. Good experience of working with globally distributed teams in a collaborative and productive manner. A passionate individual about practicing SPORTS.
