JobDescription

  • Performsprogramming tasks as assigned by study project team leads thatincludes but is not limited to independently creating executingmaintaining and validating programs that transfer data acrossmultiple data management systems or operating systems combiningdata from a variety of sources and structures generating andstoring summary data from a variety of sources generating reportsor combining multiple databases and validating programs thatgenerate listings tables and figures using SAS and standard toolsand processes.
  • Prepares and analyzes clinicaltrial patient datasets such as laboratory data vital signs datatumor response data imaging data quality of life and wellbeingquestionnaire data or adverse events data for clinical researchpurposes. Consult with researchers and multidisciplinary projectteams to analyze problems and recommend technologybased solutionsand computational
  • strategies for the specificproject as assigned.
  • Develops the customizedcodes to utilize existing tools and applications to provide theoutputs or to validate outputs for clinical bioinformatics ortechnical use.
  • Acts as the programming lead onstudies of simple to moderate complexity to deliver on leadtasks/responsibilities.
  • Actively seeksinformation to gain good understanding of the role of the leadprogrammer in the overall process and may act as the leadprogrammer on simple to moderately complex projects under closesupervision. Ensures adherence to departmental working practicedocuments and SOPs and contributes to the development informaltraining materials.
  • Increases knowledge baseand professional skills in areas including programming technologyand techniques clinical trials and the pharmaceutical industry byworking closely with mentors attending presentation / teachingevents and contributing to other general department documents andpolicies by assisting mentors with implementing best practicedocuments and articles.
