Job Description

ITexperience in the areas of Bigdata tech stack andAdministration
6 years Cloudera Hadoop administrationincluding installation configuration monitoring and upgrades inlargescale enterprise environments on Linux platforms.
3years of Linux Shell scripting experience.
HadoopAdministrator will be responsible for administering supportinggoverning and maintaining multiple big data environments across theregions.
Must have a thorough understanding of Big Dataarchitecture and the entire product suite like Hive Spark ImpalaYarn Sentry etc. administration policies techniques andmethodologies.
Provide technical assistance to applicationand business teams to solve complex problems maintain systeminfrastructure requirements enhance and configure systemintegrations and ensure ontime delivery ofsolutions.
Prior experience with project management ispreferred.
Install upgrade and configure EAP platform inLinux environments (Hadoop components).
Maintaining Bigdata clusters healthy on high priority.
Taking care ofEOVS Patching Firmware upgrade GEMS etc. ontime.
Continuously improve the platform through tuningoptimization governance automation and troubleshooting of Big Datacluster Environments.
This is a multitasking role and theindividual is expected to support multiple Application teams aswell as a large and diverse Business usercommunity.
Automate product installation and configurationfor rapid deployments.
Collaborate with crossfunctionalengineering teams to build a portfolio of capabilities forrecommendation and use in analytical product development acrossCiti lines of businesses.
As subject matter expert in bigdata environment provide L3/L4 support and guidance to respectiveapplications.
Publish best practices configurationrecommendations deployment and security architecture to internalcustomers.
Create project plans perform impact analysessolve/work high impact problems/projects and provide resolutions torestore services.
Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) postrestoration of serviceCapture the repetitive tasks and work withengineering team for an automation.
Providetechnical/strategic direction and act as advisor/coach to otherteam members.
Appropriately assess risk when businessdecisions are made demonstrating particular consideration for thefirms reputation and safeguarding Citigroup its clients and assetsby driving compliance with applicable laws rules and regulationsadhering to Policy applying sound ethical judgment regardingpersonalbehavior conduct and business practices and escalatingmanaging and reporting control issues withtransparency.
