What you'll do:

As a Cloud Storage Senior Specialist with a focus on Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing storage solutions across both cloud providers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess storage requirements, select appropriate storage technologies, and develop architectures that meet performance, scalability, and cost objectives. Your expertise in Azure and GCP storage services, coupled with a deep understanding of data management principles, will be instrumental in ensuring efficient and reliable storage solutions for our organization's multi-cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Storage Architecture Design: Design comprehensive storage architectures for multi-cloud environments, leveraging Azure and GCP storage services, considering factors such as data access patterns, latency requirements, data protection mechanisms, and compliance standards. D
2. Data Migration and Synchronization: Develop strategies for migrating and synchronizing data between Azure and GCP storage services, as well as with on-premises environments, ensuring data consistency, integrity, and security across multi-cloud environments.
3. Object Storage Implementation: Implement object storage solutions such as Azure Blob Storage and Google Cloud Storage for storing unstructured data, media files, backups, and archival data, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and durability.
4. Block and File Storage Provisioning: Provision block storage (e.g., Azure Managed Disks, Google Persistent Disks) and file storage (e.g., Azure Files, Google Cloud Filestore) for virtual machines, applications, and shared file systems in Azure and GCP environments, optimizing storage configurations for performance and cost.
5. Monitoring and Management: Implement storage monitoring and management tools to track storage usage, performance metrics, capacity utilization, and cost trends across Azure and GCP environments. Automate storage provisioning, configuration, and maintenance tasks using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automation scripts.
6. Performance Optimization: Optimize storage performance through caching strategies, tiering policies, data compression, deduplication, and parallel processing techniques to improve data access speeds and reduce latency in Azure and GCP environments.
7. Data Protection and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement data protection strategies, including backup, replication, snapshotting, and disaster recovery (DR), to ensure data resilience and availability across Azure and GCP storage services.
8. Storage Security and Compliance: Implement security controls, encryption mechanisms, access controls, and compliance frameworks to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance across Azure and GCP storage solutions.
9. Cost Optimization Strategies: Develop cost optimization strategies for managing storage expenses across Azure and GCP, including storage tiering, lifecycle management, data deduplication, and capacity planning.
10. Cloud Storage Evaluation: Evaluate storage services and offerings from Azure and GCP based on performance, availability, durability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Assess the suitability of Azure Blob Storage, Azure Files, Google Cloud Storage, and other storage solutions for different use cases.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 8-12 years of experience designing and implementing storage architectures for enterprise environments, with a focus on Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in Azure storage services such as Azure Blob Storage, Azure Files, Azure Managed Disks, Azure NetApp Files, and Azure Backup, as well as GCP storage services such as Google Cloud Storage (GCS), Google Persistent Disks, and Google Cloud Filestore.
• Hands-on experience with data migration tools, techniques, and best practices for transferring data between Azure and GCP environments, as well as with on-premises systems.
• Knowledge of data protection mechanisms, backup strategies, replication methods, and disaster recovery solutions for ensuring data resilience and business continuity across Azure and GCP environments.
• Understanding of storage security principles, encryption techniques, access controls, and compliance frameworks for protecting sensitive data and ensuring regulatory compliance in Azure and GCP environments.
• Proficiency in storage performance optimization techniques, including caching, tiering, compression, deduplication, and parallel processing, to improve data access speeds and reduce latency in Azure and GCP environments.
• Familiarity with advanced features of Azure and GCP storage services, such as Azure Blob Storage lifecycle management, GCS Object Lifecycle Management, Azure Blob Storage versioning, GCP Transfer Service, Azure and GCP storage
• analytics, and integration with Azure and GCP compute services.
• Experience with storage orchestration tools such as OpenStack Manila and Cinder for managing file and block storage in multi-cloud environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including cloud architects, infrastructure engineers, DevOps specialists, and application developers.

You will be joining SAP HXM platform operations team where you will be working with a global team located in India, Hungary, China, and USA. The team is responsible for the IT infrastructure uptime, Continual improvement, Security posture and cloud native technology adoption of SAP HXM business.
