PositionSummary(Manager)


Clientis seeking a dual role whereby the individual would be responsiblefor working through US GAAP technical and financial reportingsupport. This individual will be supporting these functions bypreparing and updating certain technical accounting memorandums aswell as preparing financial statements and management reports andmaintaining support files and data sets. The work entails detailedanalysis and preparation and will require the individual tocomplete tasks on strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepareaccounting treatment memos in accordance with US GAAP &XBRL
  • Supportvarious aspects of the financial reporting function (Form 10Q/Kearnings releases management reports/decks statutory reportingetc.)
  • Preparation/reviewof statistical journal entries into a general ledgersystem
  • Performreconciliations andtieouts
  • Assistwith quarterly review / annual auditrequests
  • Workwith team to properly prioritize ad hoc requests in addition torequired reportingdeadlines
  • Reviewad hoc teamprojects


Qualifications

  • 710years of accounting with Big 4experience
  • Bachelorsdegreerequired
  • Musthave either a CPA (preferred) or be a ChartedAccountant
  • Knowledgeof complex US GAAP topics (Segments Going Concern ConsolidationBusiness Combinationsetc.)
  • Highlevel of professionalism detailoriented
  • Takesinitiative and is solutionoriented in all interactions.
  • Strongproblemsolving time management and organizationalskills
  • Excellentinterpersonal skills including oral and writtencommunication.
  • Abilityto effectively prioritize multitask and manage daily weekly andmonthlyworkloads
  • WorkIndependently and in a teamenvironment
  • Experienceworking in Microsoft Excel andWord
  • Experienceworking in Workiva aplus
  • Experienceworking with general ledger systems and processing journal entriesaplus


PositionSummary (LeadAnalyst)


Cognizantis seeking a Lead Analyst / Manager to support the financialreporting team. This individual will be responsible for variousaspects relating to financial reporting including preparingfinancial statements and management reports and maintaining supportfiles and data sets. This position will review operating proceduresto ensure processes are optimized. The work entails detailedanalysis and preparation and will require the individual tocomplete tasks on strict deadlines. This role is expected to managea team member(s).

Responsibilities

  • Responsiblefor report processing (Form 10Q/Kearnings releases management reports/decks statutory reportingetc.) &XBRL
  • Responsiblefor data governance and performing/reviewing reconciliations andtieouts
  • Preparation/reviewof statistical journal entries into a general ledgersystem
  • Analyzefinancial data andtrends
  • Providerecommendations for process improvement and implement if approved(e.g. reportautomation)
  • Workwith team to properly prioritize ad hoc requests in addition torequired reportingdeadlines
  • Assistwith quarterly review / annual auditrequests
  • Reviewad hoc teamprojects

Qualifications

  • 610years of accounting with Big 4experience
  • Bachelorsdegreerequired
  • Musthave either a CPA (preferred) or be a ChartedAccountant

  • Knowledgeof SEC reporting rules (Reg SX SK)preferred
