Inviting applications for the role of Manager - SQL DBA L3 (Cloud AWS/Azure Database Management) 

We are seeking an experienced SQL DBA L3 (Cloud AWS/Azure Database Management) with strong scripting knowledge to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and maintaining SQL databases in both AWS and Azure cloud environments. 


Responsibilities: 
• Manage and maintain SQL databases in AWS and Azure cloud environments. 
• Perform database installations, configurations, upgrades, and migrations. 
• Monitor database performance and optimize query execution. 
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions. 
• Implement and maintain database security, including user access and data encryption. 
• Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies. 
• Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas. 
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including standard operating procedures and best practices. 
• Automate database administration tasks using scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python. 
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud database technologies. 

Qualifications we seek in you


Minimum Qualifications/skills


• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
• Proven experience as a SQL DBA L3, specifically in managing SQL databases in AWS and Azure cloud environments. 
• Strong knowledge and experience with AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, or similar cloud database services. 
• Proficient in SQL Server administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. 
• Solid understanding of database performance tuning and query optimization techniques. 
• Experience with database backup and recovery strategies. 
• Strong scripting knowledge, preferably in PowerShell or Python, for automating database administration tasks. 
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, or SQL Server administration (e.g., AWS Certified Database – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) is a plus.
